Nothing really felt right when we were starting to explore wedding venues. They were all SO SO beautiful, but we felt disconnected to them. We knew we wanted our whole day to feel like a really fun house party with a wedding in between where everyone could kick off their shoes, dance, and make themselves at home. So we literally did that and got married at my Dad’s house in Boise! It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

We said our own vows and had one of our favorite people in the world officiate, Ian‘s dad, Don Fudge. His dad is a huge crybaby so we all stood up there sobbing together.

I’m a calligrapher and stationery designer, so I designed all of my invitations + day-of items like a pressed flower seating chart, acrylic table numbers and place cards, floral welcome sign, etc. I’m so glad I did it, but it was definitely a challenge being a bride and a client at the same time!
