The eternally feminine and extraordinarily detailed designs of Monique Lhuillier are as lovely as ever this spring, with dresses that are soft and airy, lightweight and ethereal, and ever so sweet and romantic. Her dress silhouettes and necklines are quite classic, but somehow each gown has a current feel to it as well. They really are the epitome of timeless style! Lucky Los Angeles area brides can see the 2010 collection in person at the Beverly Hills flagship store trunk show coming up on April 23-25. Nice! (It’s by appointment only, so call ahead for scheduling.)

And I’m very excited to see (as I’m sure you are too) that Monique has introduced her bridesmaid’s dress collection! What beautiful shapes and colors. The collection is said to be officially launching later this spring on the newly redesigned www.MoniqueLhuillier.com. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more!

Vera Wang’s spring 2010 bridal collection is all about layers and layers of diaphanous fabrics paired with creative deconstructed shapes. I love the way they seem to be part fairy tale and part punk rock, like an updated version of Cinderella’s ball gown, magically made with yards and yards of the world’s most fabulous fabrics by an ultra-cool modern day fairy god mother!

And Vera went big for color this season as well, with gorgeous gowns in colors layered tone on tone. Beautiful!
