Junebug Weddings’ New Bridal Lingerie and Jewelry Fashion Report!

April 15, 2009 | editorial team

Junebug’s all new Fashion Report has arrived, and if I do say so myself, it is H.O.T! This time around we thought we’d celebrate the romance of getting married in a whole new way, with a sweet, sexy and intimate look into the joys of life together after the wedding!  We planned a playful boudoir photo shoot featuring decadent lingerie and sparkling jewelry that would make any bride feel beautiful, and the resulting photos are here today to steam up your computer screen and encourage you to have fun with fashion everyday, not just on your wedding day. Check it out, and enjoy!

The day of the shoot was so much fun, and we had an amazing time collaborating with our super talented crew at the stunning Seattle Pan Pacific Hotel. On set we had a slew of beauty experts from Habitude Salon, the radiant, Justine, with jewels from Fox’s Gem Shop, and our all around go-to guy and second shooter, Kim’s loving husband, Adam. We were blessed with accessories from Something Blue Boutique, unbelievably beautiful lingerie from Elle MacPherson, Kiki De Montparnasse and Eberjey, and we were thrilled to photograph Oksana, our model extraordinaire. What a doll, and an absolute joy to work with! Kim, Blair, and I adore any chance we get to photograph together. We had so much fun we don’t know who shot what, but we sure had a blast! Thanks so much to everyone who got involved and contributed their time and talents, we were truly honored to work with you!

Spring 2010 Bridal Collection Highlights from Oscar de la Renta

April 14, 2009 | editorial team

Oh Oscar, what you do to me! The way this man works a ruffle and creates silhouettes I swear I’ve never seen before is masterful indeed. He takes lady-like to a whole new level and inspires sophistication as well as joyous fashion daring. Bless you Mr. de la Renta, you have my undying admiration.

Spring 2010 Bridal Collection Highlights from Angel Sanchez and Amsale

April 13, 2009 | editorial team

Spring bridal market has come and gone and I’ve been completely obsessed with exploring all the creative styles the wedding dress designers have come up with this season. (I just can’t stop!) Therefore, this week we’re dedicated to bridal fashion in all it’s glory. We’ll bring you highlights and personal favorites from the 2010 Spring runway shows, a winner will be announced for our Bel Canto Designs vintage accessory give-away, and we’ll debut an extra special new Fashion Report that I know will illicit oohs and aahs and an overwhelming urge to go shopping! Stay tuned for some seriously stylin’ stuff, beginning with…

Angel Sanchez! This talented designer created a collection for spring that’s full of gorgeous sculptural details that defy the typical concept of what fabric can do. I love how his designs are ultra structured yet light as a feather at the same time.

The eternally chic Amsale is another design house who’s spring collection contains intricately layered and sculpted fabric details. It all feels very organic and fluid but grand and elegant as well. What a lovely combination!

And for those brides looking for more of a party frock, Amsale created fun little white dresses too. I could just as easily see one of these being worn at a stylish city cocktail reception, an intimate city hall elopement or a tropical beach getaway.
