Canlis Restaurant is a true Seattle landmark (and Junebug member!) known for its enduring style and elegance. With premiere fine-dining and sweeping views of the city, this ultra-chic location is reminiscent of the days of The Rat Pack and Marilyn Monroe, with its swanky vibe and mid-century modern architecture.
Recently, the Canlis team coordinated with Steven Moore Designs and Michele M. Waite Photography to create a wedding reception showroom and they were kind enough to share it with us! We love the modern, Mad Men-esque design and lounge-like feel of this set up – a truly glamorous dinner party that we would simply love to attend.
Inspired by the sensual architecture that defines Canlis, designer Steven Moore went for a retro-glam look for the decor. Working with the gray, black, and neutral tones found in this venue, Steven chose silk and zebra prints for the linens and accented the tables with crystal candlesticks, peonies, and lucite chairs. To complete the look, he found the perfect mid-century modern chandelier for rent from Lynne Baron Designs.
The model’s gorgeous dress, created by Luly Yang, brings a glamorous twist to the vintage look, and her ring from T. Anthony Jewelers, adds an elegant finishing touch that’s just right for this stunning venue.
Last but certainly not least, is the delicious and celebrated menu! Featuring the Northwest’s freshest ingredients, Canlis is internationally recognized for its unparalleled cuisine, wine and personal service. Together with its breathtaking views, Canlis is an ideal spot to host a intimate rehearsal dinner, wedding reception or engagement party.
