IndieWed – A Unique Wedding Show and Market
Chicagoland brides and grooms-to-be, don’t miss this fun alternative bridal show where the guests are invited to participate in a full-scale (faux!) wedding, complete with ceremony and reception. Wedding professionals of all kinds will be on hand and you’ll get to really experience their work in action. And the biggest detail of all… at the end of the night, one lucky couple will win their wedding! Up for grabs are over $8500 in prizes, including a Free Venue, DJ, Photo Booth, Floral Package, and every ticket counts as an entry into the raffle.

If you’re a beginning wedding planner or if you’re thinking about getting into the industry, there’s a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the international wedding industry’s best and brightest, Mark Niemierko. Mark not only plans some of the most spectacular weddings in London and around the world, but he’s so dapper and dashing and delightful to be around, I swear the cost of attending his week long academy would be worth it just to be near him for that long. Ok, maybe that’s just me. For those in it for the right reasons, Mark’s intimate 10 student workshop at the Dorchester in London is amazingly in-depth, covering every creative and logistical detail that goes into a well run event. He and his team will also be joined by a host of wedding industry experts, including Elton Johns florist Rob Van Helden, Kate Moss wedding cake designer Peggy Porschen and Princess Dianas former make-up artist Maggie Hunt.
