Fun Summer Seattle Wedding at the Olympic Sculpture Park – La Vie Photography
The Couple: Anna and Ike
The Wedding: 8.11.12 – Seattle, Washington
What three adjectives best describe your wedding? Bright, fun, and relaxed
What was your wedding color palette? Apple green and blueberry blue with pops of magenta
What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We wanted a fun and laid-back party for our friends & family – nothing stuffy. We got engaged in Italy & went with a casual picnic al fresco concept with wood oven pizza as the main entree. We paid homage to my Irish background with great music by the Haggis Brothers & Ikes mom created her own Made in Idaho jars of jams as favors.
Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? We loved the lay out at the Olympic Sculpture Park. It had a great flow with more formal seating inside, picnic blankets on the lawn & a cornhole court with personalized and logo-ed boards made by Ike. Our favorite moment was getting our heart shaped pizza & having a quick moment just the two of us. We had a few pictures taken & then just dug in!
What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today? Plan as much of you can ahead of time. In the scheduling of the day, try to make sure that you have some time just the two of you. The moment we had to just catch our breaths & sit alone together was priceless. But when it comes to the actual day, just relax & go with the flow. Not everything will be perfect but you just have the laugh & smile & make the best of it.
