With gorgeous wildflowers and a collection of heartfelt family heirlooms, Elizabeth and James’ vintage Southern garden wedding was a stylish and sentimental celebration. Streetlight Republic beautifully captured both the charming location of Belle Meade Plantation and the couple’s eminent love for one another.
The Inspiration: We wanted our wedding to be a balance of vintage elegance and Southern comfort. We found a gorgeous historical location with a garden for the ceremony and a carriage house for the reception. While the location itself was a beautiful backdrop, the garden theme was continued throughout the venue by the incredibly talented florist, who arranged bouquets of various wildflowers and centerpieces of lanterns surrounded by honeysuckle. The decor involved sentiments and heirlooms, such as lockets, a memorial table of loved ones, and picture frames of ourselves growing up and together.
Set on the romantic grounds of Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Southern California, this wedding inspiration photo shoot is absolutely swoon-worthy! Planned by A Stunning Affair with floral design from Junebug member Peony & Plum, the soft peach and cream color palette brings an air of elegance and grace to the table. Krista Mason‘s photos capture the gorgeous details beautifully.
Here are a few words from Peony & Plum on the bridal fashion…
Our lovely bride wore a stunning gown by Claire Pettibone called Amaryllis, complete with elaborate guipure lace flutter sleeves and lined in blush silk with a lace embroidered long train. She looked ethereal and effortless with hair and makeup by the talented Bliss Bridal Beauty. The perfect accessory for the bride was her Peony & Plum bouquet filled with: garden roses, spray roses, heleborus, ranunculus, tulips, lilacs, Queen Anne’s lace and jasmine vines. We wrapped the bouquet in multiple ribbons that hung down from the bouquet. We completed the look by tucking a few rose blooms behind her ear.

Our main table and cake table featured “Vineyard,” a new line of linens from Designer Specialty Linens‘ 2014 LUXE collection. We designed a whole tablescape to complement these beautiful embossed linens. At each place setting we displayed matching gold rimmed vintage china, paired with colored water glasses from Pretty Vintage Table and Classic Party Rentals. To complete the look we placed bread rolls at each bread plate and wrapped their names around the bread which served as each guest’s place card. All of our gorgeous paper goods were custom made by Peony & Plum. The invitation suite featured a custom water color wreath design with matching fonts. She continued this watercolor motif on some of our other stationery pieces; our menu cards and escort cards. We continued the look onto our stunning dessert table. Our intricate desserts and cake were created by A Sweet Design. We adorned her classic cake with florals and loose vines and placed it on an antique ceiling tin cake stand. Her macaroons, petit fours and cupcakes were a feast for the eyes and really completed the look.
