It is almost as if the cherry blossoms bloom just in time for engagement season, isn’t it? Arielle and Danny’s Washington DC engagement was as romantic as they come, complete with delicate pink petals hanging from the trees and lining the sidewalk. Jason Thomas Crocker Photography captured the exceptional beauty of the floral surroundings as well as the way Arielle and Danny look at it each other — it’s clear these two are so in love!
Are these trees not impossibly gorgeous? A big thanks to Jason Thomas Crocker Photography for sharing Arielle and Danny’s cherry blossom engagement shoot with Junebug! Be sure to check out our Engagement Photo board on Pinterest for more inspiration.
From the décor to the wedding fashion, every inch of Elizabeth and Justin’s wedding combined vintage, modern, and whimsical elements. The began with a first look in downtown Columbus before Elizabeth headed down the aisle at the Cultural Arts Center for their colorful celebration. Dip-dyed milk glass vases, watercolor seating cards, and gold chevron runners lined long reception tables and the newlyweds danced the night away beneath twinkling café lights.
Our wedding decor and fashion was definitely a blend of vintage, modern, and whimsical. Blended together it represented us perfectly, which was the ultimate goal!
The Moments:
The best moment of the day was the dance party! By that time all of the stress was gone and we were totally in the moment. The dance floor was packed and it was bliss.

Jessica Love with Jessica Love Photography was exceptional. She and her husband Mike were so easy to work with and we are so thankful to have awesome photographs to relive the day over and over again… a little more slowly. Ami and Jake with Raccoon Coffee Co. were awesome and our guests reported really enjoying the coffee! Guests also raved about the music of The Shaw Brothers. Andy Shaw was so great to work with.
Inspired by the charming farm of the private estate where their wedding was held, Clair and Shane tied the knot in a perfectly rustic celebration in South Africa. The raw, natural wooden accents paired with bright white furniture and table decor made for an elegant and airy look that brilliantly captured Clair and Shane’s laid-back spirit. Vanilla Photography so beautifully documented the carefully planned details, but we can’t get enough of the sweet moments captured as Clair and Shane said “I do” in front of their friends and family.

The Wedding:
Private Estate, Kwazulu-Natale, South Africa
The Inspiration:
I loved the idea of raw, natural woods. I went for something simple and wanted the outdoor, relaxed feeling to come across. There was a touch of pastel, but very subtle.
The Moments:
I have two favourite moments and cannot choose between the two! My first one was the first moment I saw Shane. It’s a long day, we started getting ready at 8 am, so by 3 pm I was dying to see him. Shane races motor cross and he said he thought the biggest adrenaline rush he’d ever have would be on his bike, but he said seeing me for the first time, didn’t even compare. His heart was pounding. My second favourite moment was when the dance floor opened. Shane was nervous for his speech and I was a bit nervous for the first dance, so once those were both behind us, we could really relax and have fun with our friends and family. Shane and I always have a good party together.

Obviously Bron of Vanilla Photography — she makes you feel so incredibly relaxed. She’s fun, spunky and gets everyone into the mood. She was very professional and I liked the fact that we had a schedule which ensured the day ran smoothly. Another one was Hayley from a Pinch of Salt. Arranging warm fillet for 160 people can’t be easy. I loved the look and taste of the food. She came up with some lovely ideas, for example, mini Magnums for dessert, which went down very well.
Who knew posting with cows could be so romantic? Thanks to Vanilla Photography for sharing Clair and Shane’s rustic wedding in South Africa. Be sure to check out Jadine and Byron’s dreamy South African orchard wedding to see more of Vanilla Photography’s stunning work!
