Alice and James’ colorful London wedding might be the most whimsical we’ve seen, all thanks to the exceptional vision of White Door Events. Pink and aqua tassels and white ginormo balloons hung above long dinner tables in an all-white industrial hall at the Trinity Buoy Wharf. Alice looked like a princess as she said “I do” to James in her silk Kate Halfpenny gown.

The Inspiration:
We tried very hard not to have a theme for our wedding, which is a lot harder than you think. Everything you see was hand-picked because we loved how it looked. We’re both from London, so a London wedding was always our preferred choice. We were keen to find a dry-hire so we could handpick every detail, from napkins to hiring in a vintage airstream as a bar.
The Moments:
James: When the boat we’d hired to take all our favourite people to Trinity Buoy Wharf finally moored outside the venue. The sun was shining over the O2 on one side of the river. In front of us was the venue, perfectly decorated and waiting for us to join her. A magical sense of excitement overcame me.
Alice: Bizarrely, my most feared moment leading up to the wedding ended up being my favourite. After arriving at Trinity Buoy Wharf with my dad knowing all my favouirte people were inside, it was the minute I caught James’ eye as entered the ceremony.

Our wedding planner, Maria-Antonia Greenhill from White Door Events. She was incredible. She help bring all our ideas to life and was always on the end of the phone to discuss anything. The day was so smooth and she made everything come together perfectly. She’s creative, organised, a truly lovely person and we couldn’t recommend her enough for couples getting married.
