Alessandra and Paolo’s Italian vineyard wedding is a breath of fresh air. The couple decided to treat their guests to a picnic on the lawn of Prime Alture, complete with pillows, blankets, and plenty of wine. L&V Photography captured the magical intimacy of the relaxed celebration, documenting every bit of laughter and all the sweet moments shared between the newlyweds. Alessandra’s bridal style was inspired by ’30s fashion, and she looked irresistibly beautiful in her Delphine Manivet gown, Richard Designs birdcage veil, and silver Rachel Simpson heels.

The Inspiration:

We imagined a Romanesque parish church in the fields, our beloved hills, the vineyards and all the people we really care about, those who share our everyday life. We wanted both the intimacy of the moment and the easy atmosphere of a day between friends.

We went for a picnic, and informal style, developed with elegance and attention for the small details: wooden crates, basins, rugs and big cushions, in the garden of an amazing wine resort near where we live, a place we instantly fell in love with.

We planned and created everything ourselves, from our stationery, to the menu, the table setting and the flowers. Our sleepless nights were spent between the wedding favors and the songs that would have been the soundtrack of our wedding.

For my dress I chose Delphine Manivet, a french stylist who mixes contemporary trend with a ‘30s twist. I wanted to be comfortable, and to feel “me”, just dressed in white. All my accessories come from a small bridal boutique in York, England. My shoes are from Rachel Simpson, and my little veil and headband are from Richard Designs. Paolo chose a tailored groom’s attire by the Neapolitan tailors Caruso, shoes from Church’s, bow tie and suspenders.

The Moments:

The whole day was simply unforgettable, and still so natural, but one of the most emotional moments was our first toast as bride and groom, while we were lying on the grass, enjoying the sunset and the swing music in the background. We just felt the magic. It was amazing to see how our families and dearest friends shared our feelings: you could really breathe happiness, comfort, and true love.

But luckily we had them with us: they are easy going and emotional at the same time, and it was great to work with them. Plus, their photos are pure beauty, they really captured amazing moments and every shot tells the story of our beautiful day.
