Bohemian Banff Wedding Inspiration

Natural, ethereal, and romantic are just a few words we would use to describe a Banff elopement, and this Banff wedding inspiration brilliantly evokes all three. Kismet & Clover designed a scene that juxtaposes the mountains, greenery, and water of Moraine Lake with curated table settings and a picnic for two. We love the pairing of deep purple geodes and floral arrangements by Antheia Floral Boutique, calling back to the natural surroundings. Sean Carr Photography beautifully captured every captivating detail, as well as the bride’s delicate Laura George gown blowing softly in the wind.

Understated Alaska Destination Wedding in Orange and Navy

Kristina and Alex’s Alaska destination wedding was inspired by rich fall colors and the incredible natural surroundings of The Last Frontier. Before an intimate ceremony in the stunning Our Lady of the Snows, Kristina and Alex shared their first look in the woodland landscape, all of which was beautifully captured by Erica Rose Photography. A navy, burnt orange, and gray reception followed at Challenge Alaska Ski School, and the fall wedding inspiration is one for the books!

Our Lady of the Snows, Girdwood, Alaska

The Destination: Our wedding was very simple, mainly because it was a destination wedding in Alaska, that we planned from over 4,000 miles away. We wanted to incorporate the outdoors, so almost all of our pictures were taken outside (even though it was raining!), and our decorations inside were rustic but elegant and simple.

The Inspiration: Alex actually picked our color theme based on the outfit he wanted to wear. He knew he wanted to wear a wool grey jacket and vest with navy slacks. I knew I wanted fall colored flowers. From there, our theme was based on Alaska, and the colors navy, burnt orange, and grey. We asked all of our guests to come in our colors, so that everyone was apart of our “wedding party.” It was absolutely perfect.

Gorgeous Northern Irish Coast Wedding at McShane Glen

Honoring their shared love of Southern France and Italy, Ariana and Matt threw a villa-inspired wedding along the coast of Northern Ireland. Grace and Saviour incorporated the romance of Southern France with the natural beauty of Italy’s countryside to create the wedding of Ariana and Matt’s dreams at McShane Glen. We love the couple’s edgy, uber-chic wedding day fashion, especially Ariana’s Houghton NYC backless, long-sleeved gown. Gather and Tides Photography and videographers Ball and Wolf documented the effortlessness of the day in each detail and moment that made Ariana and Matt’s day positively theirs.

Gather and Tides Photography was out of this world. They seriously made the day so much more special with their presence! We couldn’t be more happier with the photos!!

As for my dress, I wanted something simple and elegant. I wanted to wear something that no one else had and look different and unique, so Houghton NYC was the perfect choice. For bridesmaids, I wanted them to take on the shape of my dress as well, so we did gold pencil skirts with a pale blue sweater. Northern Ireland in June was perfect sweater weather so we made sure that the girls didn’t freeze in their outfits!

Grace and Saviour was literally our savior in planning a wedding from another country! We gave her our vision for the wedding and she just ran with it! We are so thankful for her and her amazing team.

Our inspiration came from our favorite places: Southern France and Italy! We wanted the decor to be fresh, simple, and timeless. Everything was either green, white, or gold! I’m Greek, so we wanted to make sure we had a Mediterranean feel as well.
