The dark waves and rocky shore of Panama City Beach made for a gorgeous backdrop in Katelyn and Jordan’s Florida engagement session. Robert J Hill Photography beautifully captured the texture of the landscape, the irresistible connection between the couple, and the stunning Florida sunset. Katelyn’s gray maxi dress and crochet cardigan are a prime example of how your engagement photo outfit can play an important role in creating breath-taking images — just look at the movement of her dress in the wind!

When you find a venue as charming as California’s Falkirk Cultural Center, your wedding styling is pretty much done for you. From the antique decor inside to the loveliest gardens outside, every inch of Katie and Jeremy’s wedding was full of vintage grace. Lucille Lawrence Photography brilliantly the essence of the day, and we can’t get enough of the moments she snapped including the couple’s first look and them stealing away after saying “I do” for a moment together in the lush garden.
Simple. We really just wanted to have a wonderful day and keep the focus on the most important things – the ceremony itself and spending time with friends and family. We were lucky to find a such a beautiful venue, which took care of a lot of the decor. We added a few little touches, like photographs of our parents’ and grandparents’ weddings, and mason jars with strings of lights inside (they look like fireflies!). As far as fashion, we liked the slightly more natural look of a non-uniform wedding party, so we told the groomsmen to wear whatever suit they wanted, and picked out mismatched bridesmaid dresses.
The Couple Recommends:
Yes – three in particular really stand out. Lucille Lawrence did a wonderful job as our photographer. We are delighted with how the photos turned out. On the wedding day itself, she was a calming presence, and knew exactly when to step up and make something happen and when to be completely unobtrusive.
Seth Greenberg, our guitarist, did a fantastic job across genres and instruments – Baroque music on classical guitar for the ceremony, and gypsy jazz on jazz guitar during the cocktail hour.
And Rev. Tim Mills, our officiant, helped us create just the right ceremony. He struck a perfect balance between humor and seriousness and really made the guests feel included.
