Wishing to have an intimate wedding that felt more like a dinner party with the people they love than anything else, Laura and Eric chose Manka’s Inverness Lodge in Inverness, California for its small space that kept the size down to around 50 guests. It didn’t require mics or emcees, so the reception was filled with wonderful conversations. Laura, with the help of planner Christy Matthews Events, created a day that couldn’t have been more special. Soft-blush florals and elegant décor perfectly complemented the romantic venue. Photographer Edyta Szyszlo captured breathtaking images of the couple as they enjoyed their big day!

From the bride: Buying the dress was actually the very first wedding decision that was made and it really set the tone because it was blush pink. Having the dress actually helped make the venue decision – it had the same ridiculously romantic vibe as the dress. The grey weathered wood at the boat house was really striking with pale pink. From there, the wedding party dressed in grey and the florals picked up some of the blush tones although they were predominantly green succulents. Most fun were the pink hobnail water glasses.
From the couple: The most memorable part of the day was when we snuck away during dinner and strolled down the end of the pier over the Tomales Bay. It was dark with candles along the pier and the moonlight. It was just the two of us, but the music from the band and the sound of our closest friends and family talking and laughing floated out from the boat house. We danced on the pier with no audience, pausing to appreciate each other and the day. It was our real first dance.
