We can’t get enough of this Old Broadwater Farm wedding’s relaxed, dreamy décor! Cherie and George’s wedding featured tons of lace, macramé, and gold to accentuate their boho styles, but also featured touches of natural wood and greenery to seamlessly complement the farm’s rustic vibes. This super creative couple included DIY touches throughout their entire wedding like a lace teepee, hanging succulent favors, and the coolest geometric bridal table backdrop! We especially love how Cherie and George made the wedding their own with an incredibly detailed wedding day song list. Shannon Stent Images captured every vibrant moment of this Australian wedding beautifully.

Cherie and George
The Wedding:
Old Broadwater Farm, Busselton, Australia
We loved the old farmhouse and the amazing gardens. Old Broadwater Farm just has so much character. We looked at a few different venues but ended up falling in love with this one. From the start we really wanted a relaxed, dreamy bohemian vibe. We started collecting interesting peices and embarking on craft projects to give us the feel we were looking for. We tried to put as much of our personalities in to the day as possible.
We has a strong vision for the day and wanted to put as much thought into the ceremony as we did into the reception and spent a lot of time selecting music and putting our vows together. This is where we really invested emotionally and it paid off. Our ceremony was beautiful and totally “us.”

We chose our own vows and wanted to include our two children so after our vows we gave the boys a bracelet each with a bear cub design to represent them being surrounded by love and support as a member of our family.
Running through the forest and weaving through overgrown grass in front of a derelict house for photos in full wedding get up was the most memorable moment. Having just the two of us there gave us lots of time to have little moments together while our photographers clicked away.
We chose to use natural tones with varied hues of blush to deep pink, purples and creams – everything was accented with gold. We wanted to pay homage to the setting we were in so we used lots of greenery, wood and forest elements.
Focus on the things that are important to you and stay true to yourselves. Try to chose vendors you gel with and who’s work you really love, it makes it so easy to relax and enjoy it all.
We used wood slices and jars with firefly lights to make a dessert display and made our own napkins to fit with our color scheme. We also made a backdrop for the bridal table using wood, flowers, foliage and copper twinkle lights arranged in a geometric pattern.
