There is something so uniquely romantic about backyard weddings, and Dana and Dustin’s rustic wedding at home is no exception. This California couple wanted nothing more than to make their guests feel at home. So, with the expert guidance of LVL Weddings & Events, they transformed the bride’s childhood ranch in the rustic wedding venue dreams are made of. The day started with the coziest ceremony on the front steps of the ranch house and ended with a reception in the converted horse arena, complete with earthy floral and feather arrangements from Oak & the Owl, custom leather and woods decor, and tons of natural textiles. Of course, no home-grown celebration would be complete without a killer bluegrass band and the very best comfort food. We love how Emily Magers Photography and Royal Films truly captured the intimate and community-oriented vibe of this gorgeous California wedding!

The rustic and natural setting of the home I grew up in was the most special place we could think of to celebrate our big day. We met in Montana and love the outdoors, so we wanted the vibe to have a rustic yet romantic feel.

From the wedding planner: We transformed the horse arena into an intimate reception space just steps away from their family horses. Textures was a big focus of the decor plan and was brought to life with wood thank you notes, leather coasters, sequin southwest style table runners, an eclectic mixture of rugs and hides, and hammered steel napkin rings. The style was truly reflective of their personalities and the furnishings of their home decor.

From the wedding planner: My favorite decor element was their custom leather hide seating chart with guest names and their logo in hand calligraphy and adorned with a floral box at the base. Standing tall alongside the infinity pool, it was a striking detail that guests thoroughly enjoyed during cocktail hour our on the back patio.
