Jessica and Matt’s two-part celebration was tied together with the most perfect shade of teal. First, the couple were married in a traditional Mormon ceremony at the Oakland California Temple. Though photographers are not allowed inside, Milou and Olin captured stunning portraits of the newlyweds in front of the immaculate structure. The pair had a second ceremony and reception in the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco, where macarons, doughnuts, and paper flowers set the scene for a sweet evening.
The Couple:
Jessica and Matt
The Wedding:
Julia Morgan Ballroom, San Francisco, California
The Inspiration:
Food-centric, effortless yet elegant. I cared more about the food than anything else. We had a buffet filled with BBQ brisket, smokies, jalapeno cornbread, twice baked potatoes, grilled corn, and a lot more. We also had a macaroon and donut tower in place of the cake.
Our wedding decor and fashion were simple. We centered everything around teal (see shoe and belt color) and got complementary decor from Etsy to support local makers.
The Moments:
My dad gave the perfect wedding speech that my friends still comment on to this day. It was the good mix of embarrassing me, complimenting me, talking about Matt and my relationship, and showing his love for us.
The Wedding Team:
