This Gorgeous Arizona Wedding at The Paseo is the Epitome of Desert Elegance

May 12, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Desert elegance was the name of the game for Ingrid and Stevie’s wedding at one of Arizona’s most iconic venues, The Paseo! The couple’s event planner, Your Jubilee, made the couple’s chic style come to life with pink and peach floral arrangements created by JBarry Designs, mid-century modern furniture pieces, and rose gold details, all of which transformed the venue into a timeless, modern, and romantic desert escape. Ingrid and Stevie also added a few surprises — one of which made an appearance in their newlywed portraits — that added a uniquely personal feel to their day! These photos captured by Kayla Fisher Photography speak for themselves and make us wish we could have been in the desert to enjoy this incredible wedding first-hand!

The Couple:

Ingrid and Stevie

The Wedding:

The Paseo, Apache Junction, Arizona

When we were starting to plan our wedding, we wanted a venue that really spoke to both of us. We both aren’t originally from Arizona, so finding somewhere that embraced the open desert was super important. We wanted an intimate wedding, and our venue gave us the feeling that we were the only ones out in the desert that night.

The most memorable part of the day was reading our vows to just each other. We wanted that intimate moment together before walking down the aisle; we felt that our vows and commitment were to ‘each other’ and wanted to highlight that. We wanted to stick to the tradition of the groom not seeing the bride, so he was blindfolded until I was hidden behind a corner, we called it our “first touch.”

We had a few surprises for guests! We wanted a fun wedding, so entertainment and food was a high priority! First, we had a beer burro deliver Corona’s to guests during cocktail hour! Second, we had a magician come and do close up magic for guests! Third, I’m obsessed with donuts, and my dad built us a custom donut wall — everyone needs a donut wall in their life.

Our best advice is to hire a planner! Whether it be a day of coordinator, a partial planner, or a full planner — do it! I absolutely fell in love with my planning team at Your Jubilee. They handled all the stressful moments for me so my wedding planning experience was absolutely magical! They helped incorporate all my inspiration weddings into something that was special and unique to my husband and me.

This Enchanting Wiltshire Wedding is Unlike Any Backyard Wedding You’ve Ever Seen

May 11, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Lucy and Andre are giving us all the boho country vibes today with their at-home Wiltshire wedding! The palette of dusty pinks, greens, and purples complimented the countryside landscape while the boho-inspired details and Lucy’s Grace Loves Lace gown added a whimsical feel that was perfect for a summer celebration. The couple and their loved ones poured their hearts into the decor, the desserts, and the bar, making this wedding feel as charming and heartfelt as could be. Virginia Photography truly captured the enchanting feel of this Wiltshire wedding in every single photo!

The Couple:

Lucy and Andre

The Wedding:

Church of St. John the Baptist and Private Residence, Wiltshire, United Kingdom

Our wedding was my parents’ house in the Cotswold, which is an idyllic spot. We are both quite relaxed and hated the idea of having a formal stuffy wedding. So, boho country vibes was a no brainer!

I know weddings are meant to be about one couple but, for us, it was a day full of so much love for our friends and family…and friends who have turned into family. We both say our favourite part of the day was taking a step away, looking back and saying to each other: “This is epic! All the people that we love more than anything in the world are all here in one place.” For that reason, it was truly the best day of lives!

We brewed the beer for the wedding and the favours, and I also made the blackberry vodka shots from blackberries I had picked in the village. A friend made our cake, we had lots of friends make things for our sweets table, and we made loads of decorations to deck out the whole place ourselves!

Simply Elegant Cape Town Villa Wedding at Maison Noir

May 10, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

The elegance of Maison Noir and the natural beauty of Cape Town were on full display in Caroline and Patrick’s gorgeous wedding! Happinest Weddings helped the couple bring organic sophistication to life with stunning white orchid floral arrangements created by Bouwer Flowers, minimal and modern decor, and greenery galore — all of which played up the inherent beauty of the venue. Nothing was over-the-top but everything we visually stunning. We adore the bride’s chic BHLDN x Jenny Yoo gown, which she paired with a simple greenery wreath, and can’t get enough of the creativity of these images captured by Page & Holmes Photography!

The Couple:

Caroline and Patrick

The Wedding:

Maison Noir, Cape Town, South Africa

We are Americans who currently live in Ethiopia. We did not want to get married in Ethiopia and were unsure where in the US we would get married so we decided to have a destination wedding. We chose South Africa due to its natural beauty and sort of randomly found our venue, Maison Noir. We decided to take the risk and book it after just seeing photos before we traveled to South Africa and to see it in person. Once we did, though, we were elated because it was even more beautiful than the photos! The actual villa is stunning with beautiful and thoughtful details and is surrounded by the mountains.
