More Creative Wedding Photo Booth Ideas and Help From USnaps.com

August 6, 2008 | editorial team

After Monday’s post on creative wedding photo booths, I just kept finding more and more amazing images from real weddings out there. I honestly can’t get enough of all the silliness and fun that radiates from the photos! Check out these adorable sets from the recent weddings of people you may recognize…

The dynamic duo of John and Jane of John and Joseph Photography and Jane Lee Photography were recently married and of course, photography played a big part in their celebration. These two had a life sized card board cut out of themselves made for their guests to pose with and the results are hilarious. These photos gave me the giggles all day yesterday! (Added bonus: special guest appearances by fellow wedding photographers Joey Hong, Courtney Becker, Grace and Hun Kim, Huy Nguyen and Sean Flanigan! See if you can spot them!)

Blogger extraordinaire Vane from Brooklyn Bride also had a photo booth at her wedding, and she supplied her guests with props galore. Between the pink feather boa, the sunglasses, the sombrero, the devil horns, the bubbles and the laughter, it looks like a seriously fun celebration! Vane and Chad used green fabric that matched their wedding decor for a backdrop, and enlisted the help of Jerome at Photomaton Chic for their photo booth. Genius!

Another great way to have a modern photo booth at your wedding is to call on the wizards at USnaps.com. Jimmy and his team have created amazing digital photo booths that are as easy as pie to use. You can set them up nearly anywhere, see the images taken on a built in screen, and quickly share the photos online afterwards. I myself have gotten caught up the fun of Usnaps numerous times, as you can see from these photos of my girlfriends and I at at the THAW 08 fashion show and fundraiser for the Huntingtons Disease Society of America. We couldn’t tear ourselves away! Check out the USnaps.com site for more information and to see if they are available in your area!

Creative Photo Booth Ideas For Your Wedding Reception

August 4, 2008 | editorial team

Having a photo booth at your wedding is always great fun, and a fantastic way to capture your guests having a ball. Everyone loves the old-school variety with little booths you get to squeeze into, the retro film strips that come out and the laughter that invariably ensues, but I’m also loving these new and ever more creative ways to set up your very own. If you’ve got an idea for a unique photo booth at your wedding reception, talk with your photographer about the best ways to create it. You’ll need a dedicated area that’s easy for guests to get to but that won’t be disturbed by the flow of traffic, and a camera on a tripod with a remote sync or a photographer standing by to catch all the action. You never know what will happen!

For a more colorful approach, build yourself a backdrop or stand in front of a brightly painted or papered wall. I adore the rich pink damask wallpaper in this photo by Olivia Leigh Photographie

and the hilarious set-up in this photo by Anna Kilbridge Photography (via Snippet and Ink.) How fun is that?

or just some chairs and crazy costumes and accessories!

Without a doubt, your guests will have a blast hamming it up for the camera, and you’ll have amazing photos to remind you of the joy and laughter of your wedding day, long after it’s done.
