Junebug’s Best Wedding Color Ideas – Cream and White Winter Wedding!

July 20, 2011 | editorial team

You just can’t go wrong with white for a wedding, which makes this post about white and cream winter wedding color ideas, originally published on December 12, 2008, another of our favorites…

With winter well under way in most of the country, I’m having visions of a winter wedding with a creamy white color palette, full of fabric texture, candle light, white on white patterns and delicate antique touches like vintage milk glass plates and serving dishes and pearl and cameo jewelry. A creamy dream!

Junebug’s Best Wedding Color Ideas – Blue, Gray and Red for a Rainy Day!

July 20, 2011 | editorial team

This was one of my favorite wedding color inspiration boards to put together because of the unique rainy day theme of the wedding! Originally published on May 15, 2009, the tranquil blue, gray and red color combination is just so nice!

The lovely bride-to-be and Junebug reader Charisse emailed me for a little help finding inspiration for her somewhat unusual wedding theme. Charisse and her fiance love the calm and quiet of rainy days and are hoping to plan a rainy-day themed wedding (regardless of the day’s actual weather!) with a blue-gray color palette that includes some splashes of Charisse’s favorite color, red. “I don’t want it to be depressing or dreary but very calm with an unexpected punch of red. Romantic, very romantic, and elegant with a little bit of bling.”

What a fun project this was pulling some ideas together! My focus with this inspiration board was incorporating natural elements like feathers, bird’s nests, branches, twigs and fern motifs to help bring the feeling of the outdoors, in. The soft blues and grays look like the sky on a cloudy day and keep everything feeling delicate, romantic and serene. Here you are Miss Charisse, enjoy…

Junebug’s Best Wedding Color Ideas – A Twist on a Fall Wedding!

July 19, 2011 | editorial team

Moving from spring to summer to fall wedding colors, this fall wedding color palette of plum, sapphire, forest green and gold is a knock-out! Originally posted way back on October 12, 2007…

I just love how wedding inspiration can come from anywhere and everywhere! I was reading my October issue of Vogue and fell completely in love with the color palette of this Christian Lacroix Haute Couture draped-chiffon dress. (Above- top center image) Its eclectic mixture of plum, sapphire, forest green and gold is a fantastic twist on the traditional fall color palette of orange, red, yellow and green. The rich jewel tones create a lush, luxurious and decadent feel perfect for warming up a room and making your guests feel like royalty. So pretty!
