Stylish and Scenic Destination Wedding in St. Lucia with Photos by C&I Studios – Kimmi and Chad

With just a few close friends and family in attendance, this stunning destination wedding in St. Lucia from photographer Justin Mein of C&I Studios is downright breathtaking from every angle.

The Couple: Kimmi and Chad

The Wedding: 9.27.2013 – Jade Mountain, St. Lucia

The Vision: Chad and I wanted an intimate setting and to share this moment with only our closest friends. We wanted the wedding to encapsulate who we are, to have a place of pureness to share the vows we had written to each other, and to be able to spend time with each and every person that flew out to share this day with us. We actually planned the wedding in an hour when we landed in St. Lucia the night before the wedding. We wanted to capture the untouched beauty of nature with a breathtaking backdrop of the great outdoors and blend it with elegance to truly create photographic art. The day was about us and we followed our hearts.

The Look: My style inspiration came from Elie Saab. They are just classic, timeless gowns.

The Dress: When my mother got married, she wore a long sleeve red wedding dress carrying white flowers and in our culture a red wedding dress symbolizes good luck. I wanted to continue that tradition in the family. I searched everywhere for the perfect red dress and in the end I decided to get it custom made. I wanted the dress to have movement and to flow when I walked.

The Advice: Don’t have the perfect wedding, have a meaningful and memorable wedding.

Inspired by Jane Austen’s romantic novel “Pride and Prejudice” we couldn’t help but get gritty when shooting this beautiful wedding inspiration shoot. The english inspired gardens allowed for a perfect backdrop, while the vintage rentals and florals brought an old style charm and elegance. Natural romance in colors of green, white, and lavender kept the day clean, crisp, and simple but was enriched with hints of gold, brass, and silver in the vases and china. Whether the bride was dining at her outdoor picnic, or reading under a magnolia tree, beauty surrounded her. Get lost in the novel of romance, elegance, and beauty in this inspiration shoot.
