Classic Seaside Wedding at Terrenea Resort

September 26, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Incorporating modern elegance and a love of the water, Jeanie and Jesoo’s classic seaside wedding was a wedding wish come true, realized with the vision of A Good Affair wedding planning and Coba Images. The beachfront first look portraits, stunning outdoor ceremony, and the decadent peach and white ceremony decor certainly achieved the couple’s intended “coastal chic” celebration.

The Couple: Jeanie and Jesoo

The Wedding: Terranea Resort, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

The Inspiration: An outdoor ceremony was on the top of my wish list and the ocean view from the Catalina Lawn at Terranea Resort is absolutely stunning. Once we decided on the oceanfront location, I was instantly inspired to create a coastal chic look that evokes our love of California. It was important to me to create a look that was balanced and not too feminine because I wanted the day to reflect the both of us equally. With shades of peach, white and champagne, the decor was simple, modern and elegant with touches of navy and ocean-inspired graphics.

The Moments:
Bride: There are so many to choose from! Everything was better than I imagined it to be. But if I have to pick one, it would be our first dance. We chose to have the band play our first dance song and then invite our guests to join us on the dance floor. Hearing the first few words of our song was magical and having all our loved ones join us in that special moment was priceless.

Groom: The ceremony recessional was one of my favorite moments. For one, it was the first few moments of being officially married. The Dixieland Band we hired for cocktail hour also played our recessional song, which was a fun and unique moment for our guests.

The Couple Recommends: My wedding dreams would not have come true without the amazing team at A Good Affair. They took my vision and executed it with perfection. Searching for the right vendor would have taken hours and hours of research, and I still wouldn’t feel confident in my choice without their guidance. They know the right partners to bring any wedding vision to life. They want to make the bride’s experience stress-free and, most importantly, fun! I still have withdrawals from working with A Good Affair!!!

Camp Wedding Inspiration Board

September 26, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, you should consider a camp wedding theme. From s’mores and boots to rustic design and teepees, a camp inspired wedding beckons a casual and carefree event, perfect for those planning an intimate celebration. As with most unique themes, designing your camp wedding is easier said than done; you don’t want your wedding decor to perfectly match the set of Moonrise Kingdom (unless you do, then that’s totally fine– I too love Wes Anderson). In order to maintain a stylish wedding that still pays homage to the warmth and personal feel of your summer camp, we’ve pulled together some of our favorite camp wedding inspired photos.

Wisconsin Farm Wedding

September 26, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Happy Friday, Junebugs! To start the best day of the week off right, we’ve got an exceptional Midwest wedding complete with green pastures, a rustic barn, and of course, breathtaking photography. Keeping their love of the outdoors in mind, Allison & Michael decided to celebrate their wedding at a lovely farm just outside of Madison, Wisconsin. Captured by Woodnote Photography, their elegant and fun wedding was full of adorable details and thoughtful touches. From their beautiful couple portraits to Allison’s gorgeous gown, this Wisconsin farm wedding is simply stunning and is sure to make your heart skip a beat or two. Enjoy!

The Couple: Allison & Michael

The Wedding: Century Barn, Mt Horeb, Wisconsin

The Inspiration: “I would classify it as vintage-chic. I wanted to capture a timeless look and remain true to our city-style. I think having our wedding outdoors/in a barn was a great way to incorporate our love for the outdoors, but we were also able to bring in our vintage/chic style so that it didn’t appear casual or country. It turned out exactly as we dreamed it would!”

The Moments: “Our favorite moment was after dinner when our photographers grabbed us for a few moments away from it all to take some pictures. We drove pretty far away into a field and michael and I just spent some time together (alone) chatting about the day and walking around in the fields. It started to slightly sprinkle and it was just a perfect moment to wrap up the chaos of the day. It was peaceful and romantic and Woodnote was able to capture it on camera.”

The Couple Recommends: “Corrine Van Arsdale (Canvas Weddings) was a fabulous day-of wedding planner. She put up with all of our demands and made our wedding day an absolute dream for us. She made my “vision” into an actual reality (but better).

Woodnote Photography – Not only are they talented photographers, they help you stop and take it all in. Without them, I don’t think we would have stopped to take time together as husband and wife, or just to take it all in. Overall, all of our vendors were very well received and we would recommend!”
