Happy New Year’s, Junebugs! We hope you all rang in 2015 with loved ones and a glass of something bubbly. Watching the ball drop and setting resolutions are pretty exciting, but no celebration compares to Jessica and Troy’s New Year’s Eve Oaji Valley wedding. The pair was inspired by the traditional black and gold color palette of New Year’s décor, which XOXO BRIDE Events brilliantly designed. Joy Marie Photography was lucky enough to count down the last seconds of the year with the newlyweds and capture some seriously fun reception images as the couple shared a kiss at midnight.

The Inspiration: “Having our wedding on New Year’s Eve provided a great platform for doing something unique with respect to our wedding décor. Simple elegance, with a touch of old Hollywood glamour, was the feeling we tried to achieve. With the help of our wedding planner, we were able to strike the perfect balance between formal and fun.”
The Moments: “I can’t say any particular moment from the wedding was my favorite, it was the most perfect day filled with a million favorite moments. That said, I will always treasure the moment I spent before the wedding fixing my grandmothers hair, the hug my mom gave me right before I walked down the aisle, the instant after the ceremony when I got to be alone with Troy, the speech my dad gave that made me feel like a little girl again, and watching all our guests realize how much they meant to me and Troy after reading the handwritten notes we wrote to each of them.”
