Elegant Farm Wedding in Kentucky by Susan Stripling Photography

The most regal wedding you’ve seen this year comes by way of a farm in Kentucky. Eden and Greg are an elegant couple who envisioned a classic wedding with impeccable detailing. Expert photographer Susan Stripling loves a beautiful veil, and Eden’s wedding day fashion made for incredible portraits the couple will cherish forever.

The Couple:

Eden and Greg

The Wedding:

Private Residence, Louisville, Kentucky

The Inspiration:

Our venue was my family horse farm in KY. We knew that the landscape alone was beautiful that we didn’t need to do much to add to the beauty. We wanted something that was classic and regal to stand the test of time. We choose gold, black, ivory, and butter colors to give it that classic but formal feel. The lighting was simple with lots of candles, large chandeliers, and simple uplighting so that it would glow a gold hue everywhere.

The wedding day fashion reflected our classic regal theme. All the girls could choose their own black evening gown so that it was perfect for each of their bodies. The guys each wore black tuxes with bow-ties. To give some edge, Greg wore a midnight blue tux so that he could stand apart and reflect his sense of style. For my wedding dress, I went with a large princess gown with a beautiful train and cathedral veil that cascaded past the end of my train. I grew up the baby girl/princess of my family so I knew I wanted a dress that was romantic, regal, and dramatic. The lace detail that Lazaro did on my dress gave the right touch of classic beauty that I wanted to achieve.

The Moments:

Greg: It was when I was walking down the aisle. We didn’t do first looks so when the doors opened and I started walking down the aisle to him, he said it was a moment that his heart stopped.

Eden: It was Greg saying his vows to me. We decided to write our own special vows and the words he spoke to me truly reaffirmed that I was marrying my best friend. The other special moment was my Father Daughter dance. I still do not know how I was able to convince my Dad to add on “Turn Down For What” at the end of our dance. We started with The Temptations “My Girl” then surprised everyone with a short hip hop dance. To hear the crowd scream during that moment and know that my Dad loved me enough to do it is something that will forever make me smile.

Sage and Gray Wedding in Chicago

February 4, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Classic-Chicago-Wedding-Cristina-G (13 of 28)

Chicago is the perfect spot for a classic wedding with the picturesque views and the clean lines of the city. Jen and Tyler envisioned an elegant day with subtle pops of gray, green, and blue. The beautiful gray wedding was captured by Cristina G Photography, who snapped some seriously epic shots of Jen’s veil taking flight in the Windy City.

The Couple:

Jen and Tyler

The Wedding:

River Roast, Chicago, Illinois

The Inspiration:

Classic elegance, with bits of fun and unique touches. I was drawn to elegant, soft décor and designs. Our color theme was light grey, soft blue, and with a pop of chartreuse.

The Moments:

It’s hard to pinpoint one favorite moment! Our first look was such a special, intimate moment for us. There were tears and laughter, but it was also a calming experience to share together. Walking down the aisle and seeing all these people are here for you, it’s an overwhelming, happy, and surreal moment.

The Couple Recommends:

Cristina G Photography’s work is exquisite. Cristina and her team are true experts in their craft and have given us beautiful photographs to cherish forever. Cristina was one of the easiest vendors to work with as well. Her attention to detail and prompt, helpful responses and suggestions made the process easy and fun.

Intimate Santorini Wedding Video

February 4, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Elena & Roger Wedding_5-7 July 2013-675

Eloping in one of the world’s most beautiful cities is as romantic as it is intimate. This means that the wedding professionals brought on to capture the day must find a balance between giving the couple room to embrace the bliss of being married and becoming a friend that the couple are excited to have around during such a special experience. Elena and Roger’s intimate Santorini wedding was made all the more perfect with the addition of Untitled Film Works and photographer David Campbell working together to capture the memories the couple will cherish forever.

The Couple:

Elena and Roger

The Wedding:

Aghios Artemios Traditional Houses, Santorini, Greece

The Inspiration:

Considering the wedding took place on the very stunning island of Santorini, we wanted to the picturesque views and natural beauty of the island to be the focal ‘theme’. We were blessed with very unique and magical surroundings. We kept the theme very simple – white on white on white! The wedding day fashion reflected thought for the hot summer day… my dress was rather light and simple, with no heavy beading or jewels. Roger and Anthony, the best man, wore navy blue suits that we thought really suited the island feel.

The Moments:

We loved the photo shoot we had. It took place in Imerovigli, a secluded and romantic part of the island. It was a beautiful moment because we had all this time to ourselves (aside from the presence of the talented photographer, David Campbell, and the amazing Untitled team, Abraham Joffe and Sam!). The photos and footage of that part of the day really captured a great physical memory for us.

The Couple Recommends:

David Campbell and Abraham Joffre (Untitled Film Works) really stood out the most for us. Their hard work, talent and passion for their work more than paid off. So many of our friends love their work so much so that they too have booked them for their weddings.

The Wedding Team:
