Whitney and Joshua’s intimate mountain wedding was inspired by the beauty of Island Lake Lodge where they gathered with only their closest family members to exchange vows overlooking the stunning Island Lake. Keeping decor very simple kept the focus on the newlyweds and the abundant landscape around them. Dallas Kolotylo Photography joined the intimate celebration to capture all of the quiet, cherished moments.

The Inspiration:

We wanted it to be simple, with a rustic charm. The resort was so beautiful it didn’t need a lot of decorations. For my dress I wanted something classic and elegant. For my sister’s bridesmaid dress I wanted something that would be soft and flowy that she would feel beautiful in. For Josh it was about getting his suit properly tailored and he really wanted it to be grey. We didn’t want the groom and groomsmen to match and I didn’t want my sisters dress to match them. I wanted things to look effortless and for each person to have a personality.

The Moments:

Seeing each other for the first time as I was coming down the aisle. So much planning, so much stress and it was all worth it for that one moment…The ceremony was lovely and heartfelt. Very personal.

The Couple Recommends:

Overall all of our providers were excellent. Carmen and The Green Petal did an amazing job on our flowers. I wish I could have taken them all home with me! They were gorgeous. Becky Swanson did our cupcakes and people said they were delicious (I unfortunately didn’t have any). Bold Impressions Event Decor & Design did such an amazing job I would recommend them to everyone and I want them to be recognized for there services. Also Allison Birkett as my makeup provider. She did such a beautiful job! And last but not least I loved Jennifer our commissionaire she was amazing and she made me feel so relaxed. The ceremony she prepared was beautiful.
