Pacific Northwest weddings are characterized by the incredible natural backdrop of the land, making the Columbia Gorge a perfect setting for a styled shoot. Angela Shae was inspired by the ombre look of the rocks and Oregon sunset when styling this romantic scene. While Pacific Northwest weddings often include darker tones, we love that this shoot utilizes lovely antique pink, ivory, gray, and sage green for a softer alternative.

Here’s what photographer and designer Angela Shae had to say about putting together this gorgeous shoot:

This is an inspiration shoot for a wedding out in the great Pacific Northwest. The shoot was set on the lovely Columbia Gorge with a rocky hill as a backdrop and with glorious cliffs all around. I was thrilled to have so many incredible vendors contributing to this shoot, they made it look like a dream! The table was draped with a heavy Russian linen and surrounded by fancy, round-back linen chairs. Together they set the perfect canvas for an elegant display. The center was decorated with a lushes table garland and antique gold candle holders. Each place setting was classy and clean, also with a touch of gold. The two-tier cake was hand painted with gold and I loved the gracefulness and simplicity of it.

The lovely model wore a flowy and feminine gown by Leanne Marshall which was matched with a soft blush ombre veil by Elizabeth Dye. The ombre was so subtle, soft, and beautiful, if only I could have had one when I was getting married! Another favorite detail was the hand-dyed silk Frou Frou Chic ribbons on the bridal bouquet which played so well in the wind. We were luck to have a pretty invitation suite with elegant calligraphy all done by Jenny Sanders at the shoot. The Seventh Stem girls actually used it as inspiration to the flower arrangements! I love how they were able to match the flowers and even used antique roses to get the colors to look the same.
