The coziness was palpable at Anne and Christoffer’s Røisheim Hotell wedding in Norway. The couple tied the knot in a charming chapel where Anne’s parents said “I do” years before, and then they set out into the mountains for a windy photo shoot with Mona Moe Machava Photography. The newlyweds adorned sweet cardigans knitted by Christoffer’s grandmother as they embraced in the chilly scenery, enjoying their first moments as husband and wife.

Røisheim Hotell, Bøverdalen, Norway
We were inspired by the nature and the traditional environment at Røisheim. This historic hotel is located in Lom, close to the beautiful Jotunheimen national park.Anne grew up in the area, and we both worked at the hotel for several summer seasons. Inviting our friends and family to Røisheim felt like inviting them to our home. We wanted the unique hotel and the dining room to speak for it self, and chose to only use flowers and candles as decorations.
We wanted to give everything a touch of something personal. We wanted to make the day about our family, and not only about us. The flowers were arranged in Anne‘s grandmother’s old gravy boats, the cardigans we used in the photoshoot were knitted by Christoffer‘s grandmother. The church was the same church where Anne‘s parents got married, and the car was an old Beetle used and owned by Anne‘s grandfather.
