Paige and Matt wanted to look back on their Louisville wedding and see timeless styling that could have taken place in 1915, 2015, or 2115. The classic wedding took place at The Pointe, where a modern indoor ceremony space was filled with loved ones and loving words. We love that the ceremony was personalized to be uniquely about Paige and Matt, including a “recipe” for marriage inspired by the bride’s own food blog. Brandi Potter Photography beautifully documented the whole day, but we especially can’t get enough of the dark and romantic portraits she captured of the couple before they said “I do!”
The Couple:
Paige and Matt
The Wedding:
The Pointe, Louisville, Kentucky
We wanted our wedding to be classic, but true to our personal styles. We wanted to ensure that when we looked at our photos 50 years from now, that we weren’t appalled at what we wore. I kept that in mind as well when deciding on hair and makeup. As much as I love a red lip and winged liner, I wanted something that would never go out of style. The same went for Matt, navy tux’s with wingtips for his groomsman were a must. Our decor was really simple, and that’s exactly what we wanted. We were so happy with our venue that we wanted it to shine, along with the florals.
This bouquet by Merci Bouquet is 100% swoon-worthy!
We both agreed that our ceremony was the most special moment of the day. It began with some of our favorite music, then, the officiant wrote a gorgeous ceremony with very personal touches. She spoke about the closeness of our families, and the “recipe” for a happy marriage (I’m a food blogger!). It was the first time that we both heard it, so we were so blown away at how customized it was. It made us both feel so much more at ease and close.
Our photographer, Brandi Potter, was amazing! She perfectly captured not only our perfect day, but our engagement photos represented us in the best way possible. She was such a joy to work with throughout the entire process and I would gladly recommend her to anyone.

So beautiful! There’s an almost minimalist design to things – but each piece looks stunning because of it. Love the shot of them with the petals falling on them!
