When a Polish bride marries an Iranian groom in a village in Greece, the result is nothing short of magical. Marta and Sal said “I do” at Agreco Farm, where they balanced traditional wedding customs with a breezy, laid-back attitude true to the Grecian atmosphere. Marta looked stunning in her Sophia Tolli lace gown, with her cropped blonde hair pinned back with a delicate birdcage veil. Elias Kordelakos‘ photographs of the day didn’t disappoint, leaving the newlyweds with too many favorites to choose from as they reminisce on their wedding for years to come.
Sal is Iranian and Marta is Polish, so our day was a combination of both.
Sal is a photographer, so photos were his top priority. He interviewed many photographers until he was confident of his decision. We couldn’t be happier with the work Elias Kordelakos did. Professional from beginning to end. Our guests loved him, and final product speaks for itself!
We like the classic, rustic look and keeping things very simple. The venue was breathtaking so it didn’t need must sprucing up.
It was such a perfect wedding, we couldn’t have imagined it any differently. The venue was everything we dreamed of and everyone danced and partied till 3am.
A pair of combat boots, a desert sunset, and a brave heart made us stop in our tracks upon seeing this Palm Springs boudoir session. Nicole Ashley Photography captured Dana’s free spirit and effortless beauty in this crazy stunning shoot. From the ripples in the sand to Dana’s natural curves, these images are completely mesmerizing.
From the photographer:Sometimes you meet people that you instantaneously click with. People that push you, inspire you and change you for the better. People that will literally make you laugh until you cry, dance in the streets and run around in their underwear for you (with a little encouragement). Surround yourself with people who see the world the same way you do and who truly want you to conquer it. A big thank you to this beautiful heart. I miss you and our California adventures.
With the word “festival” guiding their design choices, Allison and John threw an Austin, Texas wedding to remember at vintage-rustic Star Hill Ranch. The venue’s little white chapel provided shelter from the rain as the pair shared their first look, where brightly colored windows made for a festive backdrop. Utilizing the natural beauty of the chapel, Sweet Events created a simple ceremony backdrop with individual flowers hung with gold tape on the white wood paneled wall. The newlyweds didn’t let a little rain dampen their happiness. In fact, they credit Sam Hugh Photography for making them feel like it was the most beautiful day of the year as they kissed beneath an umbrella during post-ceremony portraits.
The most important thing to us when planning our wedding was sticking to our inspiration, which was one word: “festival.” We knew we wanted it to be a day completely dedicated to celebrating how far we’ve come together, but even more so, our dedication to each other, our love and our future. We wanted an unforgettable celebration surrounded by family and friends, who have basically become one in the same over the last ten years of our lives together. We were going for something quirky and eclectic that would reflect our love for Austin, and we got exactly that. Our wedding was absolutely us and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.
When hunting for the perfect wedding venue, I had a vision of someplace rustic and unique with vintage charm. I walked on the Star Hill Ranch property and thought, “Wow, this is it!”. It was the perfect location…a little bit of everything in one place! The buildings were so inviting and I loved the fact that they actually came from somewhere. Each building had its own “story” to contribute and I was excited to add our story to the list. We loved the Bridal Cottage and Grooms Quarters on site so we could get ready, be with our bridal party, and have a relaxing day in one place. The owner, Adam, is the kindest man who made us feel right at home. We said our “I dos” in the little white chapel, which was very intimate and romantic, I couldn’t have pictured it better in my mind.
I would have to say my favorite memory of the day was probably something I never thought I would ever say about my wedding day…the rain! It absolutely POURED all day long on our wedding day but none of it changed the meaning of the day. The love between us, our family and our friends brought us our own sunshine, which makes it even more special. Looking back through the pictures of our wedding day that our extremely talented photographer, Sam Hugh, captured…leaves me in awe. The rain added another level of romance and pureness that we could have never expected. At the end of the day, I could finally say John was my husband and I get to keep him for life! Rain or shine…how much better can it get?
My advice for brides to be would be to relax throughout the process as much as possible and remember less is more! Renting décor from Loot Vintage Rentals was the way to go for us…the choices were limitless! Also, wedding planners are a must! They keep everything running smoothly so the bride and groom don’t have to think twice (or even once) about a single thing. Hiring Sweet Events was a lifesaver! Those woman were amazing and on top of it every second of the day. They took my ideas completely to heart and somehow brought life to the wedding I had been dreaming up in my head! It was everything I’d been wanting and more.
Congrats to Allison and John on their festive Austin wedding at Star Hill Ranch! Love the way Sam Hugh Photography captured this wedding? Be sure to check out Alyssa and Beau’s barefoot Texas elopement on Caddo Lake to see more from Sam!
