This Coney Island anniversary shoot will have you craving cotton candy, neon lemon florals, and boardwalk fries once you’re done with it! Courtney and Craig have been married for five years, and thanks to Lindsay Hackney Photography‘s brilliant work, their bond is clearly still unbreakable. Allison Koehler styled Courtney in all of our favorite summer trends: a pastel eyelet scalloped-edge dress, an edgy leather jacket, and the coolest chunky sandals. We can’t get enough of this super sweet and playful anniversary session!
A rural Southern lawn, winding paths, and elaborate landscapes lend this wedding a rustic charm that you can only find in Texas! Brynne and Logan tied the knot at Austin’s Antebellum Oaks, and their friends and family were treated to a day full of stunning vintage details. The wedding colors of orange and navy (the groom’s a huge Chicago Bears fan!) was gorgeously reflected through vibrant jewel tones in the florals, decor, and even the groom’s and groomsmen’s attire. Sophie Epton Photography captured Brynne and Logan’s amazing day with the rustic spirit that the Texas Hill Country is known for.
We wanted the whole day to be filled with things that were representative of us as a couple. From the food and music, to the family style tables and table settings. Everything we chose told a story about who we are and the things we value most in life.
I always wanted to feel elegant in my wedding dress. It was important for me to feel like myself while wearing the dress, but I also wanted something that was unique and “not just another lace wedding dress.” The illusion neckline, unique lace, and detailing on the back was everything I ever wanted.
The most memorable moments were when I turned the corner to walk down the aisle and… 1.) Saw our flower girl dancing in circles as she tossed flower petals, and 2.) Felt Logan squeeze my hand and grin as he placed my wedding band onto my finger.
Sophie and Jordan are the best it gets when it comes to wedding photography. I can’t even begin to describe how talented they are as a couple, and how relaxed they make you feel when taking pictures. The entire photography experience was pure bliss with them.
To be completely honest…Logan got to pick the colors! I didn’t have my heart set on a specific color scheme and he is a huge Chicago Bears fan. Hence the navy and orange. We accented those colors with burgundy, soft pinks, and tons of greenery.
My Mom and I DIY’d some of the candles that were used in the centerpieces. We cut to tops off of empty wine bottles and then painted the tips gold. The dark green and gold contrasted beautifully against the colorful floral arrangements.
