With the Fourth of July just around the corner, relaxed summer shindigs are on our mind. There’s really no celebrating summertime like a picnic wedding in the lawn of your favorite venue (or even in your own backyard!). 1. A Parisian-inspired picnic wedding in Victoria, British Columbia

Guests lounged on vintage quilts as Marissa and Lauren said “I do” beneath a tree outside St. Ann’s Academy. Each blanket shared a picnic basket filled with baguettes, jam, and assorted treats to enjoy. The pastel bunting is the icing on the cake in this DIY celebration!

2. An intimate Portuguese picnic elopement on the lawn

After exchanging vows inside the insanely beautiful Monserrate Palace, Diane and Jason popped a bottle of champagne on the lawn atop a couple of blankets. The newlyweds fed each other bites of chocolate cupcakes and shared their first dance right there next to the romantic picnic display. We love how the setup was accented with vintage luggage and a few pillows!

3. A mid-century inspired picnic wedding at the Madonna Inn

If a retro aesthetic is your cup of tea, Valerie and Erik’s mid-century inspired wedding at the Madonna Inn is perfect for you! With an abundance of vintage prints and vibrant colors, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated in the California sunshine with a delightful picnic reception.

4. A cozy and natural picnic elopement in Anchorage, Alaska

Do you and your love consider yourselves to be the rugged type? You might consider eloping in Anchorage, Alaska after seeing this gorgeous inspiration shoot! A wicker picnic basket, a cozy throw blanket, and a couple of slices of pie are all you need to celebrate deciding to spend forever together.
