When Tatum and David got engaged, their longtime friends of photography team Zephyr Image felt it was only natural to give them the most romantic Hawaii engagement photos possible! The couple let their newly-engaged sparks fly during a forested hike to a waterfall then took a steamy dip near one of the Big Island’s most epic waterfalls. We love how Tatum’s eucalyptus crown and botanical print bathing suit gives off the coolest effortlessly chic vibes!
Congratulations to Tatum and David on your upcoming nuptials, and a huge thanks to Zephyr Image for sharing this gorgeous engagement session with us! Want more sexy Hawaii engagement photos? Then you’ve got to see this steamy island engagement session in Makena, HI!
As soon as Aria and Jonathan stepped foot in The Cracker Factory, they knew it was the perfect wedding venue for them! This effortlessly elegant venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows allowed the couple to integrate their snow-covered upstate New York surroundings into part of their naturally wedding décor. Aria and Jonathan made their décor special by using gold details and tons of greenery to complement the industrial venue’s tall brick walls and wooden accents. We love how Ebersole Photography captured the couple’s wedding with enchanting and perfectly lit images!
Having a photographer we could trust to capture the real emotions of the day was really important to us. Ultimately, we wanted everything to be peaceful and joyful….which it was, so all our ideas and decorations revolved around that. I may also have been really specific about the flowers and greenery we had!
When we decided to get married in the dead of winter (ha), we knew we had to find a venue that would show off the beauty of winter. We didn’t want to escape it, rather almost let the snow be apart of the decor, if you will. Both of us really value atmosphere, so we also knew we wanted our venue to have a whimsical, elegant, but peaceful feel. We were absolutely sold as soon as we stepped foot into our venue! It was surrounded with floor to ceiling windows that let in all the natural light, and the brick walls with white wood beams fit every vision we had.
Neither of us could have anticipated how emotional and sacred the ceremony was going to feel. The amount of peace and pure joy we felt while committing our lives to one another in front of all our friends and family was indescribably special.
Our photographer Danny exceeded every expectation we had. He knew exactly when to be decisive, and when to be laid back. He was the photographer that you had hoped would capture absolutely everything, but you never noticed him. One of the many things we loved most about Danny, was how he captured the actual emotions and atmosphere of the day; he didn’t just capture photographs. All of the candid moments bring us right back to the wedding day, and the smiles and looks he captured were so genuine. We feel like we had the best photographer there is with Danny behind the camera. It doesn’t get better than Danny, it just gets different. He made our day that much more special.
Our advice: Have a wedding planner! Our friend did our wedding planning and she absolutely saved our sanity. I would also say to know the vision you’re looking to create and prioritize what truly matters to you based on the vision. Lastly, try to stay flexible and enjoy the process. The day of your wedding, the only thing worth focusing on is the person you’re marrying and the people you’re surrounded by.
Autumnal hues are some of our favorites, so it’s no wonder we’re crazy about these fall wedding color palettes! Inspired by changing leaves, seasonal flowers, and fruits and veggies just waiting to be harvested, these palettes come straight from nature to decorate your fall wedding.
Apple Red, Gold, Light Yellow
When it comes to choosing colors for your fall wedding, look no further than the fruit of the season! Trees filled with apples and rows of pumpkins and squash are just waiting to inspire your fall wedding decor. We love the mix of bold linens, colored glassware, and seasonal florals to create this reception look.
The Seventies are having a major comeback everywhere from fashion to design and, of course, weddings! Many ‘7os elements are influenced by the natural hues in the forest, making this palette of cognac, yellow, kelly green, and cocoa perfect for a storybook wedding in autumn.
Planning a romantic rustic wedding for fall? This color palette is for you! Mixing beautiful botanicals with overflowing greenery is the perfect complement to wood elements, whether it be a farm table, DIY bar, or ceremony arch.
A festive fall fête calls for a parade of jewel tones throughout your wedding decor! Rich hues of teal, bold orange, raspberry, and dark red are luxe, warm, and always romantic. More is more with this color palette, so pile on the vintage dishes, candlesticks, fruit, flowers, and linens!
If your closet and home take a minimalist approach to style, your wedding should too! A stark white backdrop like The White Sparrow in Quinlan, Texas calls for a few neutral pops of color, and amber and deep sage green couldn’t be better picks. Search within nature to find these hues: magnolia leaves, agate slices, assorted berries and blooms, and even gold pears!
