Earthy Boho Nashville Wedding at Houston Station

July 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

We love when couples use a bohemian style to add softness to an industrial venue, and Sam and Joey took it one step further by also adding earthy elements to the Houston Station warehouse that hosted their wedding! With the help of the groom’s mom and sister, who own the styling company Design Muse, the couple created a greenery and floral-forward event that had all the relaxed charm of a garden wedding (but indoors!). As the cherry on top of this laid-back and earthy celebration, the bride’s crochet Rue De Seine dress was one of the most quintessentially bohemian wedding dresses we’ve ever seen. Not only did Love Hunters capture every beautifully designed detail of this wedding, but they also captured some of the sweetest candid shots during the portrait session that had us smiling from ear to ear!

My wedding dress was a Rue De Seine creation and it was the absolute PERFECT dress for me. It incapsulated my style completely and made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. The slip underneath the crochet lace was taupe, so that was the color that I went with for all of the bridesmaids and linens to complement! It all really came to life after I found the perfect dress.

Joey and I decided that we weren’t going to talk to text the whole day of the wedding and wanted the first time that we saw each other to be when I was walking down the aisle. Before the ceremony started, it was important for us to pray with our parents, so we held hands around a corner. I remember a rush of emotions as soon as he grabbed my hand! It was a really special moment, and I’ll never forget the way that I felt to know that he was on the other side of that wall.

I am very bohemian and we wanted the feel of the day to be laid back and easy going, because that it what our relationship feels like! My AMAZING sister-in-law and mother-in-law own an event styling business, Design Muse, and they had some beautiful tasteful and bohemian ideas for the day with the decorations. Since they know me so well, they were able to bring my ideas to life and even better than I ever expected. I am so grateful to them and everything that they did for us!

We had Joey’s pastor from when he was in high school perform the ceremony so he was able to personalize his message and our vows to fit everything that he knows about us. We also had a video of his grandfather giving us a message that he had written for us and delivered to us via technology. It was an awesome experience for us because he couldn’t travel to be there with us on the day so we wanted to bring his spirit into the ceremony. We also did communion just the two of us as a way to start our marriage by putting God at the center of it.

Our photographer, Susan, was absolutely amazing! She is able to capture the little moments that happen in a split second, which meant the world to us, because those are the moments that we wanted to remember! She was so sweet to us on the day and went with the flow to make sure we stayed relaxed and really in the moment enjoying each step.

We initially knew that we didn’t want to have the reception in a hotel because it felt too fancy, so we started searching for event spaces. When we saw Houston Station we fell in love because the atmosphere of the empty room felt exactly like something that we would want in our home! It had exposed brick and a warehouse feel, which fit into our non-traditional outlook of the day. It also had some amazing windows for natural light.

Western Australian Vineyard Wedding at Edwards Wines with Vintage Flair

July 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Jess and Corey’s Edwards Wines wedding was full of charming DIY details and stunning vineyard views. Using warm and classic tones, the couple created a romantic ceremony space overlooking the property’s pond and a relaxing outdoor reception dinner party under a canopy of cafe lights. Sticking with that classic theme, the bride chose a timeless silk wedding dress from Brides by Design, which she paired with a modern protea-centered bouquet created by Chic Rustique. Overall, the details were elegant and understated but the result was wildly romantic! Shannon Stent Images did an incredible job capturing all of the sweet moments of this wedding, especially the couple’s sunset portraits!

We has visited Edwards Wines with some friends early on in our relationship, and they made a joke that we should get married there. It is a beautiful property that we had an instant connection with. Jess also grew up in the area, and we visit Margaret River regularly, so it seemed like the perfect choice for us.

Our wedding was mostly DIY! Corey made the arbor, giant “W” statue that lit up at night, timber tables, and constructed the lighting for our feast-style reception. Jess created all of the signage, designed the invitations and menus, and styled the reception tables. Corey‘s sister Rebecca was our make up artist and our good friend Jax did the girls’ hair. Our friends and family were a massive help with setting up the wedding, too. We couldn’t have done it without them!
