This 55-Person Miami Wedding Proves That an Intimate Day Can Be Majorly Gorgeous

March 7, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Morgan and Alex’s intimate Miami wedding is as cool as can be. The Creatives Loft transformed MAPS Studio into a tropical chic party with some major industrial and modern vibes. We are obsessed with the palm leaf wall and Morgan’s tropical bouquet to match from Maison Francis. With so many tropical details and touches throughout the space, it’s clear that The Creatives Loft turned Morgan and Alex’s vision into a literal dream. Alisha Siegel Photography and A&Y Video killed it in documenting Morgan and Alex’s fun and gorgeous wedding celebration!

Morgan and Alex

The Wedding:

MAPS Studio, Miami, Florida

My makeup artist Jennifer and hair stylist Guillame (who I begged to squeeze me in only 2 weeks before the party) were visionaries and made me look incredible.

Our photographer, Alisha, was incredible; we couldn’t believe the quality of the pictures. She captured the best side of us— as we were going through the pictures, we husband asked to save each and every one. He couldn’t believe how good he looked in the photos! He’s smart and said I always look that good.

The most memorable moment was walking into the space that Adriana, our planner, had transformed. She made it come alive.

We chose our venue because we wanted it to feel like an industrial wedding with Miami tropical touches. We wanted it to be on Miami Beach, because I grew up there, but we wanted it to be inside. Finding a venue in Miami Beach that’s inside and also not a ballroom is TOUGH!

We chose our vibe after meeting Adriana. I had seen on Instagram that she masters the intimate wedding vibe (we were 55 people). But then we talked through exactly what we wanted, tropical and industrial. A San Francisco loft vibe transported to Miami Beach. She got it immediately and I trusted her completely. She presented me with each and every vendor, and worked tirelessly to make our vision become a reality.

This is so cliche, but it goes by in a blink of an eye. Cherish every moment with those closest to you. Embrace that they have gathered to celebrate you and take it all in.

This Bohemian Bodega Bay Wedding Had a Thrilling Cliffside Ceremony

March 6, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Ashley and Kevin’s intimate Bodega Bay wedding had the dreamiest cliffside first dance. These hippie, adventure-seeking, lovebirds opted for a small ceremony that is unlike anything they had seen before. Growing up landlocked, they knew they wanted a waterfront wedding, so these two road-tripped until they found the perfect spot! Ashley wore a stunning Lillian West wedding dress and Kevin looked dapper in his custom tailored suit. Their ceremony had custom DIY boho details, including a teepee arch that they stood in front of when becoming husband and wife. Lauren Dixon Photography captured every moment of Ashley and Kevin’s magical day.

Lauren made me feel really special and reminded me to smile and be myself. She got to work right away and I felt like I never needed to double check that she got a shot that I hoped for.

I guess you could call me a tree hugging hippie so I wanted to find a bohemian dress that fit the scene. The ethereal flower embroidery on my dress was exactly what I was looking for.

Kevin and I both come from land locked places (Germany and Minnesota) but both of us dreamed of an ocean wedding. Not a beach wedding, a cliff wedding. Bodega Bay was perfect.

My friend who officiated is a yoga teacher and led a prayer connecting our love to the elements. We had a clear quartz “marriage crystal” I called it that everyone took turns holding to infuse their love into it.

A lot of people told us that a small wedding is the way to go… and they were right! We had a chance to talk to everyone who came for the ceremony which I’ve heard is rare at big weddings. Everyone felt really special to be a part of the intimate circle during the standing ceremony. People might be shocked you’re not having chairs or a “real reception” but if they are high vibe and joining you on your special day for the celebration of love, it doesn’t matter!

We went on a spontaneous weekend camping trip that started on the most northern part of the California coast and drove all the way down until we found our spot. The minute we found our cliff spot we knew it was the place!

Kevin and I are as free spirited as it gets, so I wanted it to be very ethereal and divine. We love traveling, festivals, surfing, yoga, crystals, nature, and close friends and family.

At the Picnic I wanted to make sure we all had a piece of our wedding cake which was a German raspberry cake Kevin’s mom made. She had brought ingredients with her from Germany so it was really special.
