Casual Hollywood Wedding at Rock and Roll Cabin

March 25, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Alana and Brian made casual look oh-so cool in their back porch wedding at Rock and Roll Cabin. With the expert styling of the bride’s sister, who owns The House of Gather, they turned this cabin into a cozy oasis filled with pretty greenery, natural textures, and a fabulous charcuterie spread. In keeping with their casual vibe, they also hired Chef Marcus Roberto of Personal Pizza Chef to prepare pizzas for dinner. The bride totally rocked her two piece lace ensemble from Stone Cold Fox and half-up messy bun look, and the groom kept it classically cool with his Topman suit and leather jacket for the pre-ceremony portraits. Amazonas Photography knocked it out of the park in capturing every moment of this modern, minimalist California wedding.

The Couple:

Alana and Brian

The Wedding:

Rock and Roll Cabin, Los Angeles, California

My dress was a two piece lace dress made by Stone Cold Fox. I wanted something casual and beautiful but not too casual. I love how the fabric of the dress was a very classic white lace, but the cut of the dress was modern and funky!

The most important thing to us was to keep the guest list small and make sure the wedding felt intimate and romantic. Our style is minimalist modern mixed with earthy organic, so we kept everything true to who we were. We created our own flow of events rather than doing what everyone else does and did what we felt reflected our view of what marriage means to us.

My favorite photo taken is one where we are on the side of the road waiting to cross, and there was a couple on a motorcycle that drove by and the girl on the back of the motorcycle is watching us. It’s such a great shot!

The moment we saw the venue we knew that it was the one. We wanted to get married in Los Angeles but wanted it to feel earthy and organic. We loved the history behind the house, the design fit our aesthetic, and it was the perfect size for an intimate wedding.

I loved working with my sister! She is so talented in styling and orchestrating events. Without her, my wedding would have just been a small dinner. She turned my wedding into a romantic, intimate, cozy wedding with all the people I love so much! It was perfect, and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

This Sweet Joshua Tree Elopement is a Breath of Fresh Air

March 24, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Adeyling and Martin’s intimate Joshua Tree elopement proves that sometimes the sweetest things in life are also the simplest. Rather than worry about timelines or vendors, they spent a relaxing morning getting ready and sipping cocktails in a cute little house in the middle of the desert. Then they and Alexandria Monette Photography made their way out into the iconic national park for an emotional first look, a vow exchange with the most stunning backdrop, and a portrait session that was equally carefree and romantic. We adore all the natural elements that were infused into this sweet elopement, from the bride’s earthy bouquet to the couple’s more casual wedding looks that were perfect for a warm summer day in the desert.

The Couple:

Adeyling and Martin

The Wedding:

Joshua Tree National Park, California

From the photographer: Adeyling and Martin’s elopement in Joshua Tree was pure bliss; full of the most heartfelt moments that had me tearing up. They got ready at a cute little Joshua Tree home, where songs played in the background as Adeyling FaceTimed her family back home, and Martin wrote his vows with authentic Flor de Caña from Nicaragua in hand.

Martin and Adeyling shared a memory they’ll hold dear to their hearts forever – their trip to Nicaragua to visit Adeyling’s family, where Martin proposed with her mother’s ring. After five years of commitment and with family unable to visit for a large wedding, they decided to elope under the desert sun. What sticks out to me most is how they describe their relationship: “We keep each other crazy, but we also keep each other sane.” It’s the incredible oxymoron of indescribable love, and it’s a beautiful thing.

Black Tie Elegance Marries Rustic Industrial Style in This Lace On Timber Wedding

March 24, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

The juxtaposition between the formal attire and the rustic backdrop in this Lace On Timber wedding is truly a sight to behold. Kelsey and Brett love classic, sophisticated style but equally adore rustic industrial vibes. So, when they found Lace On Timber, it was love at first sight. The steal framed, open-air ceremony chapel is unlike anything we’ve seen and gave them the perfect balance of an industrial aesthetic in the middle of nature. Pebbles & Lace florists created beautiful garlands to line the concrete aisle, as well as white cascading florals to hang on the entrance doors, all of which tied into the garlands and installations in the reception hall. Kelsey’s gorgeous Anna Georgina was as timeless as they come, and her bridesmaids’ navy blue dresses complemented her sophisticated look beautifully. Page & Holmes could not have been a more perfect choice to document this stunning South African wedding.

The Couple:

Kelsey and Brett

The Wedding:

Lace On Timber, Rietfontein, South Africa

The most important to us in planning the wedding was finding the right venue. As a lot of our guests were traveling from around South Africa, we wanted them to have an amazing time that they will never forget. We wanted the venue to speak for itself; naturally beautiful, a space that immediately gives off a good vibe. The second most important aspect was the food. We are both foodies, and we wanted the food to be talking point.

We chose Lace On Timber as our wedding venue because it gave the perfect balance between rustic industrial and elegance. The reception and chapel areas were like nothing we had seen before. The unique chapel, made up of a metal frame, allowed the beautiful forest to be the backdrop of our ceremony. The reception area — with its high ceilings, raw brick, and large industrial windows — was the perfect juxtaposition for our black tie wedding.

It was really important to me when choosing my wedding dress that it was unique and reflected my personal style. I wanted to feel like the most feminine, polished version of myself. I loved how my dress is both modern and timeless.
