This gorgeous peach and ivory Pemberton wedding celebrated the bride’s Korean family traditions among the naturally beautiful Australian wilderness! Haesuk and Adam’s wedding at Stonebarn combined an outdoor Western ceremony with a traditional Korean ceremony in which Haesuk’s parents gave the couple advice on how to live a happily married life. Shannon Stent Images captured Haesuk and Adam’s day perfectly, including gorgeous rainy-day couple portraits and Haesuk’s stunning reception dress!
The Couple:
Haesuk and Adam
The Wedding:
Stonebarn, Pemberton, Australia
In planning our wedding it was most important to us that we created a day that celebrated both Australian and Korean cultures, so that our families got the chance to get to know each others traditions and ways of life.
We began the day with a western ceremony outdoors in the Australian Bush and ended the day with a traditional Korean Ceremony where we ate Korean snacks and our parents gave us advice on how to live a happily married life.
Take your time deciding on a photographer, celebrant and caterer. On our wedding day unexpected rain meant that many of our plans had to be changed at the last minute, but having relaxed and confident professionals around us meant that the day still ran smoothly.
We chose to get married at Stonebarn in Pemberton because of the estates natural beauty and versatility. There were quite a few stunning outdoor sites to chose from for our ceremony and reception, as well as under cover options in case of bad weather.
