With its rustic elegance and personalized elements, Betsy and David pulled off the sweetest Johnny and June inspired wedding. The ceremony, which took place in an open field at Uncle Frank’s Apple Town, included a reading of a love letter from Johnny Cash to June Carter. Betsy’s bridal look even gave a nod to June’s style with a flowing Reem Acra gown and her long brown hair teased in the back and adorned with a delicate crown of jewels. Dan Stewart Photography beautifully captured the swoon-worthy details designed by Smitten Events; our favorite being the killer dessert bar!
Betsy and David
Uncle Frank’s Apple Town, Brutus, Michigan
The ceremony included the reading of a love letter from Johnny Cash to June Carter and was held in a field behind the orchard, surrounded by the fall colors changing on all the trees.
The most memorable part of the day was walking back down the aisle, after saying “I do.” We were completely overwhelmed by the smiles and happiness on the faces of our family and friends.
We wanted a vibe of rustic elegance for our wedding. Luckily enough, we have wonderful friends that own a beautiful apple orchard with a big red barn, which was the most picturesque venue we could have imagined.
