Good Vibes & Great Times Were Had at This Wolf Feather Honey Farm Wedding

April 26, 2018 | juliette

Gema and Matt’s Wolf Feather Honey Farm wedding proves that you don’t need a theme or even a strict color palette to create a killer celebration! This free-spirited couple let the rustic, rugged vibe of the venue dictate the decor and, with the help of Mad Made Designs, they ended up with a mash-up of styles that created stunning moments for In Frames Photography to capture. There were bohemian, rustic, edgy, and elegant influences everywhere, most notably in Gema’s eclectic bridal look that included a fringe and lace Rue De Seine gown, an antique gold crown, handmade stone jewelry, and black combat boots. Luckily for all of us, Audrey Alba Films was also there to capture every unbelievable moment, from the Shamanic ceremony that included a crystal blessing to the cozy nighttime picnic-style reception under the stars, so we can live vicariously through this gorgeous couple!

The Couple:

Gema and Matt

The Wedding:

Wolf Feather Honey Farm, Temecula, California

We didn’t want to restrict ourselves by having wedding colors or a wedding theme. I really wanted to embrace the natural colors of our surroundings but add a darker tone for some dimension. The floral color palette was made mostly of ivory, burgundy, and blush with eucalyptus greenery.

Our ceremony was performed by a Shamanic practitioner and a Reiki Master Teacher. With her help and guidance, we were able to create a ceremony based on spiritual energy and nature. During the ceremony, guests were invited to come up and offer their blessings to Matthew and me by placing their good wishes onto one of seven crystals and placing the crystal into an antique silver bowl that we will cherish at home on our altar space.

We have 3 pieces of advice for couples who are planning their wedding: 1.) Don’t cheap out on the photographer and videographer because the day does by in a flash, and it’s nice to go back to all those awesome feelings when you look through your photos and watch your video. 2.) Save yourself a headache and don’t do assigned seating. 3.) Be organized and delegate day-of duties as much as possible.
