This Nashville wedding is full of sweet details and romantic surprises! When Paige and Nathan were choosing their venue, they found that Bloomsbury Farm had their ideal blend of naturally rustic farm accents and clean, sophisticated Restoration Hardware-inspired vibes. Paige’s gorgeous BHLDN gown featured an illusion lace necklace and a glamorous full tulle skirt, completing her delicate princess bridal look! Between rides in a horse-drawn carriage and a perfect barbecue reception dinner, we love how Erin McCall Photography captured Paige and Nathan’s day with a refined Southern elegance in mind.
The Couple:
Paige and Nathan
The Wedding:
Bloomsbury Farm, Nashville, Tennessee
Bloomsbury Farm was the first venue we ever toured, and even though we kept touring after, this one was the only one we could ever picture ourselves getting married at. It is the perfect combination of Nathan and I. It is beautifully green and natural while also embodying Restoration Hardware in a farm setting. The bridal suite and pavilion are absolutely amazing. Lauren of Bloomsbury Farm has worked to curate the perfect setting and aesthetic. It is absolutely the most peaceful place I have ever been.
I chose my gown from BHLDN in Chicago. I worked for Anthropologie for almost three years and continued to write as a style blogger on side in college. I knew I wanted my dress to be romantic and airy, much like the venue. So it is easy to say that the venue’s rolling hills, dewy light, and subtle cremes inspired the dress. My antique accessories were all in honor of my grandparents as well as Nathan. The diamond tennis bracelet I wore was my grandmother’s. The brass cuff on my left hand was an antique that Nathan bought for me in our second year of dating. And my wedding band is one of my favorite gifts. It is a gift that was left in my great Aunt Do’s will. Her story is unique that her husband passed away in wartime, but she never remarried because she loved him so dearly.
My bridesmaids wore the Jenny Yoo Annabelle dress from BHLDN in Sandstone to match the tulle of my gown, and our boys rented their slate blue tuxes from Street Tuxedo here in Nashville.
As Nathan and I planned our wedding, we wanted to honor and celebrate the people who had joined us along the way. We have been dating since our junior year of high school, so of course, as years collect, you collect amazing people. We wanted this day to just as much about them as it was about us. Our families, community, and church family had surrounded our relationship and upcoming marriage in prayer and celebration, and we wanted to have a night where they felt noticed, loved, and treasured by Nathan and I as well as our families and day of vendors.
Very last minute, we had to switch to a rain plan, and the attitude and talent of our vendors made it better than I could have ever even pictured. I think our rain plan was even better than the original! I can’t imagine it going any other way.
Nate and I both loved the ceremony and time we got to spend in prayer during communion. Our church takes communion every week, and it has become a really special time for Nathan and I to just talk about where we are and where the Lord is taking us.
Also, it helped too that we got to ride out from our ceremony in a horse drawn carriage. Nathan grew up going to a ranch in Colorado, and I have always loved the princess in a carriage. So it was a dream come true!
Nate and I agree that after all of the planning and preparing… probably only 50% of the things you picture turn out the way you picture it in your head. And this is a good thing! If I could offer any advice, it is to choose vendors that have the same vision for the WHY of marriage. Our vendors felt more like family that day than anything else.
