Happy Monday morning! I’m starting the week off with the perfect Monday medicine…Vanessa and David’s colorful, joyful Colorado wedding day that was held at stunning Beaver Creek Resort in the Rockies. The thrilling mountain vistas and brilliant hues they selected for their wedding day fashion and decor combined to create a happy celebration of their love for each other and the outdoors!

What three adjectives best describe your wedding day? Simple, elegant and fun
Was there a decor theme that ran through your wedding? What was the inspiration for that particular idea and how did it reflect you as a couple? We got married in the mountains because we both love it there and wanted to show our love of the outdoors to our guests, who were mostly from out of town. We also wanted to keep the wedding simple and not stuffy. But we made sure it was really fun too, with the help of our ten-piece band flown in from Chicago! Given the natural beauty, we kept our flowers simple and picked colors, like pinks and oranges, that would pop out on the green hills.
What were some of the different ways you used decor elements to create the beautiful, cohesive event you were envisioning? We had small vases with flowers running down the table, not trying to compete with the mountains, but add some color to the table. We served lamb, trout and chicken…local Colorado food that Beanos is known for.
Looking back, do you have a favorite project or successful decor idea from your wedding? Tell us what you loved about it! Looking back, I just love the setting we picked. Our wedding was so special, and I think having the reception half-way up the mountain at a cabin was perfect. Also, the white lights in the clear tent for dancing looked great!
