Colorful Latin-Inspired Wedding at Casa Romantica

December 21, 2019 | brooke

Julia and Emmanuel had been to many weddings, so when it came to dreaming of their own day, they had two questions that were top of mind: “Would guests enjoy Casa Romantica? Would they be able to access the bar easily?” Cue: Laughter and cheers throughout the Junebug team when we read that one! It was also important that their personalities were represented through the lively, Latin-inspired decor and tropical details, so the couple hired All in the Detail Design to help them pull off their vision. When it came to the florals for their day, The Bloom of Time was inspired by the natural landscape of the venue and created floral arrangements filled with birds of paradise and other lovely, vibrant blooms. If you’ve been dreaming of a cultural and colorful wedding day, you’re going to love every photo Ashley Paige Photography captured of Julia and Emmanuel’s inspiring day at Casa Romantica!

The Couple:

Julia & Emmanuel

The Wedding:

Casa Romantica, San Clemente, CA

Bloom of Time went above and beyond in terms of delivery to make me happy. They are gracious, patient, sweet and GIFTED. They will make your day come to life and better than you could ever imagine.

Wedding planning advice from the bride and groom: Leave a little budget for emergencies. A few days before our wedding it started showing a chance of rain so there was additional cost for a tent and a heater that I definitely didn’t plan for. Maybe 2-3k thousand dollars for unexpected costs.

My photographer is my favorite person ever, Ashley. The best part of Ashley is she makes you feel so comfortable and is funny! Which makes the task of taking 10000 pictures a lot more fun. The best part of the day of with Ashley is that she turns on the BOSS mode big time. It was so efficient, she takes charge of the room, people listen to her and she gets the job done so you can go and be with your friends and family!

I love Mediterranean architecture and Emmanuel’s one ask was “to be on the water.” so when we found Casa Romantica it was a DONE DEAL. Listen to your gut. Casa Romantica was the only place that gave us a ton of excitement and visualization. When you get those feelings, you are in the right place.

We tried to add fun touches all over. Specialized cocktail names, monogramed napkins, our pastor interviewed our bridal party to make the ceremony more personalized. We also decided to use a churro cart for dessert along side the cake to play into Emmanuel’s Mexican heritage.

We definitely tried to incorporate a more Spanish Portuguese menu but adding sides that represent that culture. We offered salmon or filet mignon paired with asparagus and batatas bravas. People still bring up our menu almost 7 months later. 24 Carrots did an AMAZING job. It was delicious.

  1. Hi — I am a 2023 bride getting married in Mexico and I have based the whole vibe of my wedding on this blog, I love it! Can I be connected with the bride? I am having the hardest time finding a floral tie I like for my fiance like the one from this wedding, so I’d love to pick the bride Julia’s brain!

    Thanks!
