Hi! My name is Dan Sauer. I am a fine art destination wedding photographer from Los Angeles and now live in Italy servicing amazing couples all over the world! My images have been described as authentic, emotional, romantic and cinematic. I love making real connections with my clients and guiding them to look their best. My goal is to capture the genuine love and affection between my couples and to create images that tell the story of your wedding day in the best way possible through a combination of posed portraiture and photojournalism. Dan was our photographer for a surprise proposal in Rome, Italy and as a brief backstory, he worked side by side with my boyfriend to come up with not only a plan A but even a plan B for the proposal. I was introduced to Dan as our tour guide/family photographer. Dan was incredible! He showed us some of the most delicious spots around Rome to have a quick bite, giving us history of the most famous monuments along the way, and took us to places that we are tourists would have never stumbled upon alone. Dan made us feel comfortable and definitely played the part as I had very little idea what was actually happening.
He kept us updated after in regards to when we could expect our photos, and as promised we received our full album within one weeks time. We can’t wait to display our beautiful photos for our wedding day. If you’re considering Dan, you’d be doing a huge service to you and your partner.

Finding Dan felt like a miracle. His style and attention to detail really shines through his photographs, but the experience with him was better than we could have ever hoped for. Dan went the extra mile for us, both in the rescheduling of our big day, as well as scouting out the best locations for when the light would be absolutely perfect. Dan is so meticulous in getting the shot he wants, while still allowing you time to feel like it’s just the two of you and no one else is around. That’s a very tough line to walk, but he does it expertly. We were beyond impressed with our photos and are excited to share them with our families and the world!

Look no further, you have found your wedding photographer. I was so fortune to come across Dan and his beautiful work while searching for a photographer for our Lake Como elopement shoot. Dan is not only a fantastic artist but is so kind, thoughtful and intentional in really guiding to get the most breathtaking photos, capturing both the landscape and portrait photos. We liked a lot Dan’s portfolio before talking with him for the first time on video call! What made us choose Dan for our wedding in Lake Garda was definitely the great style that his photos were showing but most of all his sweet and amazing personality! Prior to our big day he communicated with us multiple times to make sure our schedule was aligned and included all the special moments that we asked for. Overall, working with him was very easy and fun. We love our wedding pictures and will recommend Dan for all our friends’ special events!
