Hey, my name is Kristen and I’m seriously flattered that you’re here! I started up Freya Photography when I was 25 but have been behind the lens since I was 15. I’ve always had an innate love of creativity. Growing up, I experimented with different art forms and mediums - painting, drawing, dance, anything I could do to create and let my imagination become tangible. I remember the first time I watched my first photograph develop right before my eyes in the tiny darkroom of my high school. I was immediately fascinated and it opened up a whole new world for me.
Escapism, dreamscapes, and cinema have always been my biggest inspirations. Cinema holds a very special place in my heart. It's where every story unfolds like a universe of its own, bursting with life and emotion - a sentiment I aim to recreate in your wedding gallery.
I’m deeply fascinated by the power of lighting, composition, and colour theory, recognizing their ability to convey emotions, which has become a crucial component of my photography style. I’m particularly drawn to the works of Wes Anderson and Stanley Kubrick, whose unique styles have undoubtedly influenced my own. I strive to create images that will stand the test of time. There is nothing else I could wish for professionally than connecting with likeminded people across the globe and revealing their love for one another as art.
