Kathryn and Marcus designed their wedding with minimal decor, which allowed their gorgeous venue to speak for itself. A perfect combination of rustic and industrial attributes, Salvage One‘s unique atmosphere was an amazing venue choice for this sweet, elegant wedding. Light florals and lavender bridesmaid gowns added a soft touch of color to the big day. Talented photographer Oriana Koren expertly captured Kathryn and Marcus’ special moments.

The Couple:

Kathryn and Marcus

The Wedding:

Salvage One, Chicago, Illinois

The Inspiration:

We went for a vintage theme to match the venue. We kept the flowers and additional decor to a minimum because the venue did the work for us. For the bride’s dress, she wanted something classic and elegant that matched the feel of the venue. For the bridesmaids dresses, she wanted something elegant and simple adding unique necklaces to make a statement.

The Moments:

The speeches. We loved hearing what our family and friends had to say about our relationship and their blessings for our future. The best man, Jeremy (Marcus‘ brother) surprised us all. Typically a man of few words, he impressed us with his thoughtfulness and humor.

The Couple Recommends:

Monica from Skinny Piggy who put together the candy bar with us was amazing. It was so easy from start to finish. She can get any candy or sweet that you desire. Her team sets it up, takes it down, and provides the jars.
