Gabrielle and Alexander’s breathtaking nature inspired wedding in Dushore, Pennsylvania was unique for many reasons. The Inspiration:

We knew where we wanted to get married before anything else: a place in the Pennsylvania mountains that has been in Alexander‘s family for generations. We wanted to highlight the beauty of the property and capture the sense of joy and freedom that it has offered to Alexander and his family for so long.

The Moments:

We had a self-uniting wedding, and so got to create our ceremony from scratch. My brother walked me down the aisle and gave me away with a speech that brought me to tears. Alexander‘s sister also walked him down the aisle and teased him for ignoring her advice on courting me (although I think it worked out). Our siblings are very important to both of us and having them give us away meant the world.

Our photographer, Addison Jones, was absolutely phenomenal. For months, I couldn’t find a single photographer that I loved. When I finally came across Addison’s portfolio, I knew right away that I wanted to hire her. Addison doesn’t just document your wedding, she takes beautiful photographs that artistically capture the aesthetic narrative of your wedding day. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Our wedding planner, Elika Almeida, also went above and beyond. We went back and forth on putting down the extra money for a planner, but I’m so glad that we ultimately decided to. Having our wedding in the middle of nowhere made planning quite a logistical challenge, but Elika made every step of the process simple and stress-free. She was also extremely generous with her time and ended up acting as our florist, guest transportation, and more!
