We love how New Zealand weddings take epic ceremony backdrops to the next level, and Joce and Tim’s relaxed farm wedding in Wanaka is no exception. The couple said “I do” in an intimate and organic outdoor ceremony before heading up to the grassy mountaintops for a picnic in the clouds. Andy Brown Photography captured the entire extraordinary affair from the rustic details at the Criffel Station Woolshed reception to the exceptional views as the newlyweds spent their first moments together looking over the great beyond.

The Inspiration:

Inspiration was our love of the outdoors and our laid-back lifestyle. The theme could be called “relaxed rustic” — we wanted to create an atmosphere that was beautiful but relaxed, where the scenery could speak for itself and our guests have a wonderful day.

The Moments:

Our favourite moment was when the helicopter turned off it’s engine on top of the mountain, and we were surrounded by silence and the most beautiful view in the world. It gave us a chance to collect our thoughts on the ceremony and day, and to have a moment with just the two of us.
