Ethereal Ottawa Greenhouse Wedding at Aquatopia Water Garden Conservatory

June 5, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Taylor and Dovi’s greenhouse wedding at the Aquatopia Water Garden Conservatory was a beautiful combination of classic and natural styles. The talented team at the venue took care of everything from event planning to floral design and used simple decor, including antique lanterns, bundles of greenery and baby’s breath, to create a totally understated and elegant feel. The bride’s layered gown from Saja Wedding and WToo, which she wore with a loose half braid, the groom’s party’s classy Vera Wang tuxedo, and the bridesmaids’ ethereal dresses in shades of blue added just a hint of sophistication that looked gorgeous against all the natural elements. Photographer Agatha Rowland and Rowland Films did a fantastic job capturing every moment of this dreamy Canada wedding.

Masculine and Sophisticated Carondelet House Wedding with Woodsy Details

June 4, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

We are so in love with Matt and Rob’s romantic Carondelet House wedding! With the help of Galas by Gerry, their wedding day was transformed into a warm and intimate occasion to celebrate their nuptials. There are elegant elements and subtle rustic charm that truly tie the entire vibe and ambiance together. Making it a day to remember, White Fig Designs crafted the most gorgeous floral arrangements – just look at that ceremony set up! There are so many swoon-worthy details and Krista Ashley photographed all of it perfectly.

Our floral designer, Erin from White Fig Designs was the best – we met with her several times to go over ideas and gave her the challenge of wanting something “Old Hollywood” yet “Rustic” along with sophisticated but also simple and masculine and she completely blew us away. The overall effect of her designs were even better than we could have imagined.

The most memorable part of the day was definitely the ceremony, our friend Gerry did an amazing job officiating and made the ceremony itself so personal, sweet and fun. Standing in the beautifully decorated room at sunset, surrounded by our beloved family and friends as we made our vows was a moment we didn’t think we would ever have, and one we will cherish for our entire lives.

Processional – “Reign of Love” by Coldplay
Recessional – “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money
First Dance – “ABC” by Jackson 5

Our wedding advice is to go with a wedding planner, it’s totally worth it for all of the details (and snags) that you never knew existed. Also, it REALLY helps to have a best friend who is a wedding planner. But really, we would just say to that it’s one of (if not) the best days of your lives, so don’t worry about what the new trends or “must haves” are, make it your own and have fun.

Galas by Gerry did an exceptional job of making our vision a reality and was so easy (and fun) to work with, she anticipated every single thing that (could have) popped up and had a plan. Everything from start to finish was perfect.

We chose the Carondelet House venue because its really unique, with an Old Hollywood feel and while incredibly stunning, it still felt intimate and warm.

We wanted the overall vibe to represent us and our lives in LA. The venue is reminiscent of Old Hollywood, so we paired it with rustic, woodsy accents to give it a masculine feel. We also wanted the vibe to be FUN and for everyone to know how special they were to us, so we carefully mixed up our friends and family in the table settings so they could get to know each other, chose to sit at tables with our guests instead of on our own and picked pop music that everyone would know and dance to.

June 4, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

The color palette for this Joshua Tree wedding inspiration is a literal dream – rose gold, terra cotta, and blush! We are seriously so obsessed with everything about this shoot and we know you will be too. Mae & Co Creative designed a gorgeous tablescape full of terra cotta candle holders by Margaret and Beau and pastel florals designed by Good Seed that looked perfect in the desert. Everyone’s favorite model Quigley and her husband Alex Goode were cool and chic in their wedding attire, especially that nude and silver Rue de Seine dress!
