Wedding Day Survival Kits

September 21, 2007 | editorial team

I recently learned about these Wedding Day Survival Kits from P.H.E.W. (Practical Help for Every Woman) and I have to say I’m a big fan. It really is such a help to have all these little supplies available on your wedding day. With so much going on and so much fun to be had, the last thing anyone should spend their time doing is running around trying to find a needle and thread or a band aid! That’s no fun! These P.H.E.W. kits come stocked with items like bobby pins, fashion tape, clear deodorant, pain reliever and antacid, tissues, tampons, chalk to rub over grass stains, and much, much more. Toss in your lip gloss and you’re all set! Visit PhewKits.com to order on-line and to see their other handy creations like Travel Kits (good for the honeymoon!) and Diaper Kits (good for the future, or as gifts to expecting girlfriends!)

Fall Fruit Decorations

September 18, 2007 | editorial team

The four seasons evoke such distinct feelings, memories and nostalgic qualities that incorporating them into your wedding day design can create an atmosphere your friends and family will love. A simple and beautiful way to decorate a fall inspired wedding is to incorporate fall fruits into your creative ideas. Apples, pears, pumpkins, gourds, tangerines, pomegranates, cranberries and kumquats are all part of the fall harvest and make such pretty additions to seating cards, cake decorations, flowers and favors.

Emmy Award’s Bridal Looks

September 17, 2007 | editorial team

It’s officially award show season, my favorite time of year! Last night kicked it all off with the 2007 Prime Time Emmy Awards and there was certainly some wedding inspiration to be found. Gorgeous white dresses of all shapes and styles were seen strutting the red carpet, the most bridal of which had to be the structured Zac Posen number worn by Katherine Heigl (winner of Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series- congrats Katherine!) I also love the details and metallic accents of Marcia Cross’ Georges Chakra dress and Jane Krakowski’s Pamella Rouland halter dress, not to mention the loose flowing curls and classic red lips worn by many starlets at the show. Any of these looks could be great wedding style inspiration- what fun!
