Coral Wedding Color Palettes

Yesterday I got a fun note from Jennifer in San Francisco who is love with her bold coral color palette for her upcoming August wedding. She’s using rich coral colors in her save-the-dates, invitations, menus and thank you notes, all designed by the fabulous designer Cat Seto, and wanted some inspiration for other wedding details to go along with her coral wedding colors. Here you go Jennifer!

I love the organic way that coral, cream and pink go hand in hand. Throw in a little gold and you’ve got a seriously elegant wedding color scheme!

A coral color palette can also be big and bold when you include colors like bright orange and yellow, and add small pops of contrasting color for excitement and depth. Try splashes of lime green or ocean blue in your table settings, favors or jewelry.

Spring Makeup and Pampering Pick-me-ups

Up popped an e-mail in my inbox last night from Beauty.com. A newsletter exclusive luring me with an offer of free mascara (always a sure fire way to win me over!) to peruse the lovely new products on their site. Suddenly I saw clear visions of the state of my bathroom cabinet; my sad old blush compact with only a scrap of pink left in the palette, my beloved night time moisturizer that’s dangerously close to the bottom of the jar, my empty tube of mascara that I’ve been trying to convince myself is not quite empty. I just had to click. I just had to have some fresh new products to carry me through these last weeks of winter and get me excited for sunny, lovely, energy renewing spring.

New Ketubah Designs for Modern Couples

Graphic designer and artist Tsilli Pines recently launched a new business called New Ketubah, creating gorgeous customized versions of the Jewish wedding document for the stylish and modern couple. She wrote Junebug to tell us all about them, and we became instant fans! She told us, “There is a long history of the ketubah being interpreted as an illuminated manuscript, but there aren’t many takes on the form from the perspective of modern design. I’m trying to reach design-minded folks who have a hard time finding something that fits with their style but want to include this tradition in their wedding.” Her designs are archival prints with lovely hand sewn details, and the text can be personalized in all kinds of different ways.
