The talented wedding invitation design duo of Whitney and Jonathan Speir of Brown Sugar Design have been Junebug members since we started back in 2006, and it’s been a thrill to work with them over the years. (They recently designed luscious letterpress thank you notes for us and we ADORE them!) Just this week Whitney and Jonathan made the exciting announcement that they have launched a new, easy-to-order, Studio Collection with five letterpress wedding invitation designs that are simply lovely. You can choose your colors, fonts and wording, and just like that, you’re done! The Adoration: With the power of two creative brains working together, this brilliant wedding film was a collaboration between Casey at Mind|Castle Studios and Patrick at Stillmotion Photo & Cinema. The wedding couple, Joyce and Raymond, are avid photographers, so this super-funky cinematic editing style was a perfect match for their wedding. The music, the perspective, and the motion of the camera itself makes it so fun to watch! I feel like I’m right there with a fly-on-the-wall (or catering-cart) view of the whole day. And perhaps the most amazing part, this was a Same Day Edit done right there at the wedding. Amazing work gentlemen!
This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the second annual B-List Wedding Blogger’s Conference in Alexandria, Virginia, and I’m still beaming with gratitude for the support, the creativity and the friendships that this fabulous community of women has provided to me and to Junebug. Discussions covered serious topics of ethics and best practices as well as creativity, stylistic perspective, and of course weddings, weddings, weddings! I’m excited about the future of this group and all that we hope to accomplish so that you, our readers, get the best possible results.
