September 14, 2011 | editorial team

Get Hitched Give Hope, October 27, 2011 - raising money for wish-granting charities helping those who are seriously or terminally ill

Get Hitched Give Hope is an incredible Seattle-based charitable giving event that we at Junebug are super proud and excited to be a part of. The organization is run by a dedicated team of volunteers from our local professional wedding community, and their luxe Gala Event gives brides and grooms a way to “get gorgeous goods, while giving back.” All proceeds raised through Get Hitched Give Hope this year will be benefitting Santa Barbara-based Dream Foundation, our nation’s premier wish-granting charity giving hope to those coping with terminal illness, and The Young Survival Coalition of Seattle, giving support to young cancer survivors.

Junebug is thrilled to be a Presenting Sponsor of Get Hitched Give Hope this year, and we want to give you all a little sneak peek into the amazing raffle and silent and live auction items that we’re helping bring to the October 27th Gala Event. If you’re anywhere near Seattle on that date, you don’t want to miss this crazy fun party! 1920s Paris and New Orleans Wedding Inspiration and Ideas

There’s usually an intense level of romance floating along with most people’s visions of Paris, New Orleans, and the era of the 1920s. With these romantic notions in mind Britney and Holly, the talented photography team at Magnolia Pair decided to create a fabulous wedding inspiration shoot in the French Quarter of New Orleans. “The idea for the shoot came to us after watching Midnight in Paris. The film does an incredible job of carrying you away to 1920s Paris. The mood and color palette are almost dreamy. From that, we wanted to create an aesthetic that could inspire present-day brides to incorporate those dreamy ideas from the 1920s into their wedding day.” Together with Elyse from Tying the Knot, Britney and Holly created a shoot filled with vintage wedding fashion, Sazerac cocktails, and that distinct New Orleans vibe!

Napa Vintage Chic Vineyard Wedding Style – Cher and Ian

    The Couple: Cher and Ian

The Wedding: 6.12.10 – Shady Oaks Winery, Napa, California

What three adjectives that best describe your wedding? Casual, elegant, vintage

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We love vintage style, casual elegance and the feeling of being with family. We wanted everything very personal and for each person to feel special. We hoped our guests would come home feeling like they had gone on vacation and not worn out from being dragged around.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? It’s very difficult to pinpoint just one because the entire experience was a dream. If I had to pick I would say walking out of the church and climbing into our white convertible vintage car, looking around at all our friends and family with the beautiful church and blue sky in the background…feeling like an absolute princess with my handsome smiling husband at my side.

What was your wedding color palette? Blue was definitely a theme but we brought in all colors…sort of a big Monet painting.
